Fell in love with the place a while back ... but it has soon lost its magic as we are constantly forced to order the MIXED combo... when we prefer the all ribs options. They are never able to offer the All ribs combo (except for the very first visit we made one year back). Soup is one of the... More

Came here with family for lunch for the first time. Meat was soft and tasty BKT soup broth, on the peppery side. Pig's stomach soup was good, ingredients were cleaned well and was not 'fishy'. Think they used alot of pork lard oil in their tau kee and salted vegetables dishes. Made me queasy after the lunch. Otherwise i would... More

Usually do not write reviews for eating places in my home country but making an exception for this place. The Bak Ku Teh soup is fragrant and peppery and they provide free soup refills! The ribs are tender and chewy and taste heavenly with dark soy sauce. The main branch is kinda out of the way in Balestier but it... More

Went there for two times. First time the soup was very peppery and I wasn't used to it. Then the second time I visited the place, the soup wasn't that peppery as before which disappointed me. Hope they can work on it.

Ordered via Foodpanda and the food were hot and the peppery soup was good. Rice and vegetables are standard.

Popular for its spicy and peppery soup , this BKT place is well known on Balestier Road. Normally the is a queue during peak period, its service tonight was fast and efficient. We had the ribs, 2 veggies, eggs and vermicelli. Quality was consistent , enjoyed the peppery broth and meaty ribs. Overall , a tasty and satisfying dinner!

We went there for dinner and it was not packed at all. The services were prompt. We ordered 2 different of pork ribs, youtiao and teochew style pickle vege. The pork ribs soup was good and the pickle vege was the most impressed and tastiest one. May go again whenever I go to Singapore. Those like Singapore style bak kut... More

Founder Bak Kut Teh at Balestier always reminded me of great memories I had in Singapore, memories that were spent catching with people that I loved. I was first introduced to this place by Ria during our quick trip to Singapore. The Founder bak kut teh was also a great place to hang out for late night supper and they... More

AMAZING. Must try in Singapore!!! The restaurant is air conditioned, nice and clean. Very quick service. It's opened pretty much all day. You can order everything on the menu. But of course the original dish is fantastic. Hot, not spicy, but very peppery. The taste that keeps you coming back for more!! Out of so many places to eat in... More
