This was a recommendation from oen of my travelling companions. Very good authentic Indian food in the heart of the Indian community in Singapore. It is croweded and not air conditioned (or least it did not feel like it was) but the food made up...More

What a find! I stumbled on the Banana Leaf at lunchtime as a brief air conditioned respite from the heat outside, and ended up returning a few times during my week in Singapore, bringing colleagues who all enjoyed it as much as I did! Modest...More

Found this place on TripAdvisor. After a really good curry similar to the UK standards as we cannot find this living in Australia. We were not disappointed, great onion bahjis and beer!

It's been our ritual for almost 30 years to go to the Banana Leaf for a meal when visiting Singapore. The place hasn't changed much in all that time. The curries and biryani's are well spiced and reasonably priced and it's impossible to avoid over-eating....More

If you are into spices amd spiciness, don't hesitate. Everything there is full of flavor. Too bad I don't like their palak paneer. It's doesn't have much cootage cheese and it's not spinack puree. Their mutton mysore and chicken masala is nice.

With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of

Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts
