I went to Appollo for lunch on Friday with my husband .The food was awesome as usual but definitely pricier than most South Indian restraunt. We ate Malabar fish curry(too milky but flavourfull) ,black squid ( nice blend of masala and spiciness)masala prawns(fresh and huge prawns bursting with the right amount of spiciness and sweetness) with 2 set banana leave... Great place for lovely Indian food. Staff really helpful, good atmosphere. Excellent naan bread. A walk through the bustling streets completed a good night.

Came here with a group of local friends and remembered it from a few years ago. Food is a s good as I remember and served on a banana leaf for a novel but authentic touch. Everything we ordered was really good but do order the nan bread - one of the best I've ever eaten.

This was about our third visit to Banana Leaf and once again it was great. It's difficult to find a downside to the restaurant everything about the place is good, the service and quality of the dishes cannot be bettered. The beer could be colder but I'm really nit picking by saying that! It's busy, noisy and all that an... More

Busy in the only way India knows. And happy too. The banana leaves upon which the food is served must bring out the flavours. It is all good. Service is cheery and efficient and the dishes are inexpensive. The highlight of the Sunday night is a walk through the steamy and bustling streets of Little India

Wow, if you are looking for great experience of testing perfect Indian food in Singapore, that's banana leaf on racecourse road. We had good time enjoying their spicy and delicious fish fry, chicken curry along with biriyani. Vegetarians also got many options.

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
