This is a small, nothing fancy, locally attended fish and seafood place, near the southern entrance to the market. Very good ,simply presented seafood dishes. We had the cook's special shellfish mix in a white wine broth, very nice and the special seafood paila. Careful, do not expect a rice dish such as a spanish paella, not a grain of rice but... More

We had an amusing time finding this place based on Google Maps which led us to the market across the street from Mercado Central (where all the fabric shops are). We went back into the fish market and a gentleman asked if we wanted to try their seafood and long & behold it was Tio Lucho - perfect timing! We... More

We visited a Wednesday. The place was full so we thought we'd have to leave but the owner welcomed us immediately and we only waited a few minutes and he found us a table. The food was delicious and the service was great. I strongly recommend it!

Despite it is not on the menu, if you ask them nicely they will make a "jaiba" or crab meat empanada for you. Have a white wine with it, honest price too. The price-taste relationship is soooo good at this place, that I came back 3 times during the very same trip. It is a Must-Go! Gracias Tio Lucho

We wanted to try one of the restaurants at the market but there are soooo many options and we weren't sure what to choose. We figured we should avoid the touristy restaurant in the center, and after wandering around we were approached by the proprietor of Tio Lucho. He was very friendly and showed us several positive reviews of the... More

My sister and I chose this place as it was out of what we considered the tourist trap. Food was awesome!! Great aperitifs and the owner told us how to properly eat our food, offering friendly advice. 10/10 would dine again. P.S. Would recommend the Paila Marina!

It was very small, but authentic. When we got there there was a table of four and we made 6 altogether, but but the time we finished it was almost full. The food was fresh, tastey and readily served. We ordered two dishes ... Paila marina (a broth of mussels, small squid and oysters) and ceviche (1/2 serve). While we... More

Most of the restaurants at the Mercado are rather expensive. We almost decided to leave, but then we saw this nice little place. It is small but cosy and staff is very friendly. The food was good, nice fresh fish, and it's very affordable.

The restaurant is very small, but the atmosphere is very cosy and the owner is very welcoming. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced. Try to sit downstairs if you can.
