Yes it is all very clever. Yes they forage for interesting and unusual foods from the coast, seas snails, sea-weed, different mushroom and fungai. The presentation is spectacular, with different staff presenting and explaining the provinence of each course or appetiser in between courses, but...More

The experience at Borago is similar to a visit in a contemporary art exhibition. Now Imagine that here you also use your sense of taste. At times the pieces of ‘art’ do not make sense but rather create an impact. They make you feel and...More

The restaurant has only 4 choices which are: 1. 6 courses 2 6 courses with wine pairings 3. 9 courses 4. 9 courses with wine pairings The dishes are both visually and tastefully creative. The meal is expensive but nice for foodies

Six friends travelling through Peru, Bolivia and Chile had fantastic food and wine wherever we went . Even in hotels at 4,500 metres on the salt flats and in the desert. As our final “blow out “foodie experience we spent $130 per person on complete...More

The decoration of this restaurant is very pleasant and the kitchen is open so you can watch all the staff and the preparation of the food. We were offered to try the pisco sours. The best pisco sours we’ve tried. Then we were explained the...More

For the past 4 years I have been dreaming to bring my wife there. The dream became true last Friday, Oct 27, during her 45th birthday. However the dream became a huge deception. We chose the 16-dish menu. The service was impeccable and the dish...More

Borago is definitely worthy of its international accolades. We opted for the 9-course tasting menu (the larger of the two offered the night we dined) which drew from ingredients sourced from 9 regions within Chile. Each one was inventive and delicious. In addition to the...More

We went here for a special meal on our first night in Santiago and had the 16 course tasting menu with wine pairing. We had an amazing seat at the window overlooking the open fire. We arrived slightly late which may have contributed to the...More

I dined solo and had a great experience at the table. There was a bar but it was more of a waiting area. Also, it appeared there were some late walk in customers, so don't be deterred if you can't get a reservation. Call... More

Well to be honest 10 percent sevens to rule here but I break it often with Portland/NYC type service and go to 20 percent. All cards are accepted but save yourself the worry and don't even walk in Borago. It is a scam.
