This is a place that has been at the same location for decades. Their local style sandwiches ("lomitos" and "churrascos" -- typical fare) are the reason we always go back. Fresh ingredients and fast service. They have tables outside and upstairs, you can eat at the bar downstairs. People smoke outside. Order local beer or mineral water. I like the... More

Small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Basic but comfortable spot for a drink and sandwiches, burgers, and grilled meat. Much nicer than many other similar places and the food is good. Recommended.

Good place to watch soccer games with a beer or two, but that's about it. Food is - at best - average. Tasteless pork sammies, even worse hot dogs.

If you're in the area I wouldn't hesitate dropping into Quick Lunch Aleman for a traditional Chilean sandwich for lunch. As compared to other fuentes in Santiago (of which there are many), Aleman has some flavour combinations and 'agregados' you won't find in many other places - e.g. fried egg, bacon. It is also the only fuente I have found... More

This is a great little 'fuente de soda' with delicious Churrasco sandwiches. The sandwich is best accompanied by a Kunstmann beer on tap.

Meat, tomato, jam, bacon and cheese make the best sandwich for my guess, and the beer kunstmann torobayo is great, it's an excellent soda fountain.

Good basic food served fast in generous amounts. This is like Roanoke's Texas Tavern only it's the Santiago version. I had the Aleman 1, which is roughly equivalent to a Cheesy Western at TT. Meat, cheese, fried egg (plus corn?) on a bun. Like everything in Santiago it is pricey. I've struggled to spend under US$20 per lunch.

A great surprise. Asked for a "Aleman II" and a schop to drink. The sandwich is huge and with plenty of meat and vegetals all very fresh. All in the chilean style of lots of palta and lomitos. Price is not the best indeed but given the quality, size and location of the place it is worthy. I highly recommend.

Huge sandwiches of various flavours, very tasty and fresh ingredients. Price good value. Staff courteous. Tidy resteraunt. Outside seeting for when the weathers nice. A great place in a good area for a pot of lunch. Good drink selection too.

Original Chilean sandwiches, very tasty and fresh made. Just a beat pricy - it is a sandwich bar, not a proper restaurant. But again, the sandwiches are delicious!
