I saw this place a bunch of times while walking down Providencia and it truly did not catched my attention. Even with the colorful logo, I did not heard anything about it before, and it might be because I'm not truly a wine fan. I honestly dislike it, and the main reason I accepted to visit Baco Wine & Bistro... More

Baco is one of the only restaurants in all of Chile that is consistently impecable. Our appetizers , wine, main dishes, dessert as well as service were absolutely perfect!!! A no brained choice for a wonderful meal!

The place is always busy for dinner. The food is well cooked, I had the onion soup and the duck and both were very good. By the glass the wine selection is mid level and by the bottle you can find better options. A place to go indeed. The hostess was way better than our waiter, she actually took the... More

We were a little nervous about the Baco as it has had an uneven reputation. In the event it was terrific. We had 3 courses, each excellent, octopus as a starter followed by fish, tart and espresso. The octopus was a revelation, the fish sublime, accompanied by a fine Chilean white wine from an impressive selection. Despite the restaurant being... More

A Chilean friend took us to this place, very popular with locals, and which soon filled up. Located on a side street, the entrance is through an impressive wine-cellar. A sign on the wall announced, "No wifi - talk to each other!" in Spanish. The food was fine, if not memorable.

My husband and I enjoyed our meal at Baco overall, but there were moments early in our visit when we considered walking out. We speak some Spanish (and have been travelling in Chile and Argentina for over 3 weeks with no problems communicating in restaurants) but our server made little accommodation to help us understand her rapid speech. My husband... More

The food, wine and service were so good we went Ti Baco twice. On the first night we enjoyed the fresh oysters, duck confit and Chupe de Loco. On our second visit we shared the pulpo as a first course and the Corvina and steak tartare as our mains. In addition to the great food, the excellent service, wine and... More

We were looking for a light meal in the neighborhood of our hotel. We ended up here. The house was packed, but they found us a table anyway. The service was excellent. We had Stroganoff and also Lasagne. Both were delicious. We decided to order a dessert and selected the crème brûlée. It was the best I have ever eaten.... More

Excellent. Went here twice when in Santiago both times for lunch; weekday and weekend. Delicious fresh, perfectly prepared fish. Perfect service. Something for everyone. Excellent wine list by the glass or bottle. Excellent pisco sours too. On a special note I lost my hat. Very sentimental; they found it and kept it for me to retrieve next day. Also they... More

We've visited Baco several times, and have never been disappointed. The service tonight was superb - thanks Javier F - with good knowledge of the menu and close attendance to our needs. The food as always was promptly produced and of excellent quality. Great ingredients, sympathetically cooked, and well presented. Dress code is casual, but not scruffy. I like the... More
