The café is in the building of the monastery and some tables offer a lovely view on the monastery's garden. I didn't try the coffee, but they have some delicious hot chocolate (apparently the monastery has its own chocolate production) and the food looked really good. The service was a bit slow, even though the café was by no means... More

My husband and I and our two boys stopped in this great little cafe to have an cup of coffee after a morning in Old Town. The boys had smoothies that were very good, and my husband and I each had coffee with cream. It was delicious, and well worth the stop in!

Definitely try the coffee at the Cafeto. Tucked within the exterior walls of the San Agustin monastery, it has great coffee, Ecuadorian style snacks and nice setting to take a break while exploring Downtown Quito.

Finally, a coffee lattes that make time stop and makes you go ah! Just wish they had a almond croissant and I would have been in heaven

Great omelette. Good fruit bowl. Good atmosphere. Damn good coffee. The service was fine. It's in a good location for walking around lazily after breakfast.

Excellent coffee. This is 100 characters if I stretch the sentence out a little bit longer and add another phrase and now.

This was our first espresso coffee in three weeks whilst in Ecuador. A reasonable drop too. Don't forget to try the cakes

A nice cafe. Service was attentive. Menu had limited vegetarian options but the Caprese sandwich was good. Coffee lacked strength, so would choose a non milk coffee next time.

I love that El Cafeto is a chill spot with great coffee. I enjoy good drip coffee and pourovers, but most of the coffee I tried in Quito was mediocre. El Cafeto was the one exception. I had their drip coffee (called the "cafeto"), and it was great. This review loses one star because service at the cafe is somewhat... More

Couldn't stay away from this place. Where else do you find employees sorting coffee beans by hand to winnow out bum beans?! The coffee is spectacular. Their chocolate decadence (from their own recipe) is truly...decadent...and wonderful. Breakfasts are good, too. Want to spend some time gazing into the courtyard of San Agustin monastery over a cup of great Ecuadorian coffee?... More
