A pleasant villa in the valley with a lot of good meat dishes, not much for vegetarians. Outdoor garden seating. German beer.

Excellent restaurant. Very much hidden and difficult to find, but persevere, you will not be disappointed. This is Ecuadorian German cooking at its best. The salad starter is just great, and the main courses are wonderful.

While visiting family in Ecuador we got invited to eat a Muckis. The restaurant is located in a town call “El Tingo” around 10 min drive from San Rafael. When I said it’s a hidden gem I meant it. You will have to drive through few small roads before finding the restaurant. The building look like an old museum house,... More

The place is really cool and quiet, there are a lot of old machines and equipment that gives the restaurant an awesome touch. All the ingredients are grown and cultivated for them, and this gives you the security that all the ingredients are organic and fresh! They have a variety of german dishes and they are delicious. They have a... More

We went to Mucki's, a dream of an Ecuadorian restaurant that was every quaint and charming spot you could ever want it to be. The twist? German owners! The... More

Had a business lunch here. Its an outdoor/indoor restaurant. Middle of nowhere. German/Ecuadorian restaurant. Opened with sausages which are made there. Very good. Had the giant prawns with garlic - excellent. Service was great. Great beer. We had a great time - party of 8 - big table no problem. They have these refrigerators from the 1960s that are used... Delicious food and nice relaxed atmosphere. Just 30 minutes from Quito, the best German restaurant in the city and its vicinity. Try the eisbein!
