Wow! This was great. Our guide advised us to have dinner here. All aji's and other more or less spicy creatures from this brilliant kitchen matched our 'degustation' perfectly. Add a fantastic service, a entertaining host and very reasonable prices for the exquisite quality offered and you know: next time in Cuenca: Tiestos Time!

Service was excellent, food was spectacular. Shrimp soup w/beef tenderloin. Just WOW. My better half had the potato with cheese and avocado soup. She had that same dish in 5 other restaraunts as a result. Nobody came close!

I had heard about this place for several years, and with no doubt, it deserves to be visited. Food is fantastic (any of their "tiestos" to be shared between two people) and their service is extremely friendly. Their chef/owner will come to your table to suggests several dishes and teach you how to maximize their flavor with their "ajís" (hot... More

Our guide recommended this place for my birthday. We did book, but you could have got a seat if you turned up, however booking did get the best tables. The restaurant was generally busy for a Tuesday. The waiter did not speak English and the menus were in Spanish. For such a tourist place, and a complicated menu a translation... More

We are on a trip in Ecuador, family of 6. We wanted a nice way to enjoy an evening for a casual celebration. Juan Carlos and his team managed to guide us through amazing local products perfectly prepared. The restaurant is casual, which is what you look for when you are travelling, but what you got in ple plate ranks... More

From the moment we called for a reservation, we felt welcomed. We needed an early time (they open at 6:30) because we were going to the symphony. They allowed us to come at 6:00. Upon receiving the bread, you have a myriad of aji and finger foods to try, like pickled onions. The owner came over to make sure we... More

This is supposed to be one of the best restaurants in Cuenca but it fell short of what we expected. The food is good but not EXCELLENT. With all the hype about making reservations with months in advance and all that, we were disappointed. There are better places for the same price in Cuenca.

I think this was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. We were a little confused by what to order on the menu, many reviewers said it was too much food. The chef came out to our table and suggested a shared menu( 2 soups for 4 people). We decided to try it and the amount of food was perfect.... More

Amazing meal! Ask if they have an english speaking waiter (wish i would have asked, would have made things easier when ordering, found out at the end they had one). 5 of us went, they said a 3person family meal would be plenty. We ended up ordering 2, 2person meals so we could try different things, and there were leftovers,... More
