Although the food was quite good, we were disappointed with the quality of the service received. We were there on a Sunday evening (when many other restaurants in the area are closed) and felt ignored by the service people.

One of the best places offering local and international platters. Service is good. Price is average to expensive. In general, very good value for money.

We enjoyed a great lunch outside on the plaza. We went to Tanta because I wanted to try the grilled beef hearts and ceviche. Both were an adventure and very tasty!

Great food and service. Something delicious on the menu for everyone in the family from a five year old to her grandparents. Tamale and grilled fish especially good

This restaurant had a nice casual atmosphere, and seemed to be a favorite among the locals. Although we were English speaking tourists, the staff were very helpful in ordering. The drink menu rocked. I recommend the Chicana (spelling?) that has the ginger and cardamon. My order of Peruvian Paella was delicious! Our guide recommended this restaurant and he did not... More

We chose Tanta on a night when we had 8 people together, all different styles of eaters and Tanta was perfect for us. Our group had vegetarians, non-fish eaters, and small appetites eaters so we were able to find something for everyone with authentic flavors and high quality food. Cocktails, anticuchos and beef stir fry were excellent.

Tanta restaurants are high quality, dependable, and excellent. There's a great range of food on the menu, ranging from ceviche to paella to "Grandma's beef stew". Local craft beers as well as a selection of good house wines. Reasonably priced, reasonably priced, and dependably good.

My family and I stayed in Lima for 8 days this last October. We had rented a lovely Air BNB in the San Isidro neighborhood. We spent our days walking all over and only saw a fraction of this amazing and massive city. On our last night in Lima we had spent the day walking (probably did 10-15 miles) we... More
