Very large restaurant that serves hearty, extremely generous portions of great Chifa food. Service was nice and the ambience was very Chifa/Chinese

For a good Chifa we have been coming here for years. Always a good meal though it was 5 stars in the past it's still one of the best Chifas in Lima. Enjoy!

Our experience was wonderful! The restaurant was crowded as it was Sunday and eating Chifa is a Peruvian tradition. Yes, the AC wasn't working in certain parts, yes, it was crowded but that is part of the charm, and yes, the service was lacking; however, you sometimes have to go with the experience. Portions are large but we were advised... More

You cannot trust all rating as times and this case was one of them. 4 ratings should not mean this. Overpriced par to sub-par food. no air/AC in certain parts as shown in the photo. Go to what we know as Alberto's around the corner on the main area where you see pastries at the front.

Based on what we read in Frommer's, we made our way to Wa Lok from Plaza Mayor for lunch. Be prepared for huge portions. So if you travel with family, everyone should order something different to be able share. I presented my card to the waiter letting him know I needed gluten free. He stated the only thing available was... More

Wa Lok was so well recommended by friends and acquaintances that I had high expectations. What I met didn't impress much. Service was decent but cold, a contrast with warm Peruvian waiters everywhere else. We ordered a Tallarin Taipa that was about right, but not outstanding. In a country known for its marvelous gastronomic experiences, Wa Lok was one of... More

Hungry and tired, we wanted Chifa, but these days they are so greasy, "cheap" and salty. In... More

Delicious Chifa with duck in two different types of preparation. A true highlight of Chinese food. I would recommend to all. If you decide to go, ask for 1 dish to share with two people because the portions are really big.

Because of the peking duck on the menu, I tried this restaurant. It was good. However, it was not the tradional skin alone in pancakes with the plum sauce. We did get 2 courses and it was wel prepared. What we enjoyed much was the chicken cwauw mein. Great flavour and not fatty at all. Service was good.

Wa Lok is a very well located restaurant, close to Huaca Pucllana in Miraflores and near to many Hotels. This chinese restaurant offers a traditional menu, all the dishes I have tasted are very good, from basic siu mai or wantan, to pekin duck. Excellent service and food quality. Of course it is not a cheap Chinesse restaurant, we have... More
