This is the place to go for traditional style Peruvian ceviche. Great fish menu. It is mom and pops style so don't be disappointed if they run out of ingredients.

My friends and I went there for lunch after being highly recommended. The service is good, although there is a guy ringing loudly a bell every time a dish was ready, and that was disturbing. Food average, not what we expected. We had Tiradito, Cebiche, Conchitas a la Parmesana and Jalea. Would go back if there is not a better... More

For the price you can get better and tastier food in Lima. Overrated and plain. I can't recommend it to someone seeking for the true Peruvian food.

Very accommodating staff upon arrival even though restaurant was to its capacity. Food ordering was fast and efficient. Tried a ceviche that I had never tried before. Had a yellow spicy sauce on it. Delicious and nicely served. What I liked also was the fact that this is not a restaurant for tourists per sei. 90% of people there were... More

Try if you can to go to another place. Poor service, average dishes. Worst of all: powder chica morada, any peruvian restaurant that can call itself that cant commit that atrossity Better options: sonia near chorrillos, la isla escondida at av aviacion and av villaran, At least there you get more and better food and service for what you pay

A traditional unpretentious cevicheria, only open at lunch time as is tradition for a reputable seafood house in Peru. Merlin ranks among the best value cevicherias in Lima’s better neighborhoods. All is fresh, good quality and generous servings. A little off the beaten track it is not a place to walk to unless you are in the neighborhood. Be careful... More

We had lunch at this restaurant and were very pleased. Service is friendly, good and fast. There are lots of interesting seafood dishes to choose from. They also offer mixed plates so that you can try several dishes. We paid a total of 35 USD (May 2014) for lunch for two persons including coffee. I loved the ceviche and will... More

This is the typical peruvian restaurant! delicious and traditional northem cuisiene. mostly seafood but a lot of meat option of the north of Peru. Ask for some "combinados" you can choice a ceviche and a main dish combination for a very impresive great value. In spanish we would said that has the 3 B's: "Bueno, Bonito y Barato" (Good, Nice... Try the arroz arrecife and the leche de tigre merlin. They are both really good. Service was good too. Had a good meal.

We had lunch in El Merlin de Cabo Blanco, in the Lince district in Lima, Peru. The restaurant is very nice looking, with two floors. The waiters run around from the first floor up the stairs to the second floor. I had a mixed experience. We were on the second floor, where it was very hot. Occastionally some cold air... More
