Back in the early 1970s young adults (20s) used to drive out to Granja Azul Friday evenings in couples for the drinks, dancing and the chicken. When it closed around midnight they'd all pile into their cars and head to Lima's discos. Today it's better to go during the day, it's a LONG drive on uneven roads. But oh how... More

Nice and quaint big house with good service but food has no more the same quality than only five years ago. Not worth the drive !

Came here a lot in the 80's when I would stay at the Hyatt Regency Resort which was a short walk up the road. The Hyatt is now the El Pueblo.......don't stay there it's horrible. BUT Granja Azulejo is still fantastic. Back in the day the owner and his son (can't remember their names) were extremely hospitable. In fact the... More

Longer than normal trip to a restaurant. it is located outside Lima, not a nice drive. Choices to eat: chicken or meat, with lettuce and tomatoes or French fries. Service not good, High price for what they offer. Not worth the trip.

My husband is peruvian, and can't stop talking about this place. It's his favorite! And I can see why: great flavor, impeccable service and lovely environment! Definitely better than any other rotisserie chicken I had ever tried. We were a group of 8, and got there at 2 pm. on Sunday. The place was full! After half an hour wait... More

Outside of town but well worth the travel. Best roasted chicken you will ever eat in your life. They are small, not hard to eat a couple birds. They keep coming until you say no more. Love chicken livers and anticuchos on a stick. Fancy drinks, you get to keep what they come in....but Pisco sours are still my favorite.... More

The original Granja Azul which is to franchised in Lima and on the beach. The founders sold out a while ago and it shows. What used to be a fairly quick drive is now a trek up the carretera central with the risk of heavy traffic. Once you get there the place is still anchored around the original old tidings... More

The story tells that this is the place where pollo a la brasa was originally invented. True or not, the place is very popular and although is outside the city, it gets very crowded on weekends. They have a large garden and kids playground, and games. It's a very good options if you're planing to go with children. The menu... More

This place is known for it's rotisserie chicken. I have never seen a restaurant so huge! The tables were full and it was 2:00 p.m.! It is nearly all outdoors with a small amount of indoor seats. The chicken was delicious with a very plain salad (all lettuce) to brighten the meal. The service was great. The restaurant is difficult... More
