Not only is the food wonderful, but the place has a tremendous feel to it and we were made to feel extremely welcome by the nephew of the owner. As two two "gringos" with almost no Spansh, we had everything patiently explained in a warm and friendly manner. Food could not be faulted - we largely left it in n... More

I totally recommend this place if you want to try peruvian ceviche. Also, if you don't eat too much share the plates because they are enormous.

The ceviche was excellent and their house specialty, stuffed squid with rice is delicious too. Happy to have the chance to try to establishment. Everything was fresh and tasty. The langoustine in light batter was just right. If you only have time for one meal. Canta Rana would be your choice.

Went for dinner and the food and service were good. The ceviche tasted good apart from one or two bits which tasted strange, a very strong fishy flavor. At first I didn't put much attention to it, but the day after I felt sick with stomach problems and vomit. This only lasted 1 day fortunately. Not nice to get this... More

Dear Andrea So sad you had stomach problems! Our fish is always daily fresh, and we we travel our stomachs can get sensitive also. Plus mixin new drinks and raw food can bring that experience. The fact that it only lasted one day proves that is not food poisoning. I you eat bad fish you will be ill for days... More

Beautiful, traditional place, well located in Barranco. Meeting ground for artists and wannabes for decades. Upper mid-range prices and good drinks. Decent service. However, it has lost its charm in the kitchen. The last time we had a cebiche, bland and unappealing. The fish entree nothing to rave about.

Shared a tasty lunch with my wife. We enjoyed the chupe de camarones and arroz con mariscos. Taste, flavours, reminiscent of my childhood food memories, well seasoned food. Great locale with distinctive decor. We received efficient service from Romulo. If seeking traditional Peruvian flavours in a restaurant with a lively atmosphere, this is the place. Great value, food to price... More

This was without a doubt the best ceviche we found in Peru! It's a cute little spot full of personality. There is typically a few people in line to get in but well worth the wait.

This place is so cool! Definitely off the beaten path. Its in the Barranco neighborhood, which is a funky neighborhood in lima. The owner is a former professional soccer player so he has tons of pictures and paraphernalia all over the place. The food is also awesome. I got the civeche and a pisco sour. One of my favorite meals... More
