Stopped off here for lunch as so many others seemed to be doing when following their Lonely Planet Peru guidebooks. The place itself has character and you can see from some of the old photos on the wall that hardly anything has changed in a...More

Excellent typical criollo Peruvian food, which has been enjoyed by successive presidents of Peru for the past 100 years (to be honest, the restaurant is right next to the presidential Palace, so there's a location advantage!...) quite cheap and well worth the visit!

Great traditional Peruvian food and a genuine atmosphere of times bygone, makes this a perfect spot for lunch - service is also excellent and that it is next door to the Casa de la Literatura Peruana adds to the convenience.
