I went to this restaurant with my husband and three teen kids. The food was ok, service was fine but not as professional as I have seen in other restaurants during my visit to the Cusco area. For example we asked for a bottle of wine and when they brought it to the table it was already opened. The place... More

This restaurant is just off the central plaza in Urubamba. Inside, it is quiet with a pleasant atmosphere. Service was not overly attentive, nor absent, which I appreciated. There are many interesting options, with several vegetarian choices marked on the English menu. Some are possibly vegan, but you should ask. The food was good -- not exceptional but decent. It... We had a great lunch here. The food was fantastic, the ambience great, and the place very clean. I had the fish ceviche and a salad which was great. Others in our group had alpaca and chicken all which were first class. This is a must eat place.

We went here today and ordered soup and trout. Overall the food and service were great but it was a bit overpriced for what it is. Also, the atmosphere was a bit awkward and quiet. May be we came here during the off season. If you are looking for a decent restaurant around this area. This place might be one... More

Had dinner with my wife and two kids. The place was recommended to us and was 5 blocks away from our hotel. We were attentively greeted by the staff. The decor is unpretentious and we were the only guests apparently that night. Food was good; we all enjoyed it very much. They did not take credit card.

The restaurant is a nice little cozy place. The food is above average. Ordered the Quinoa salad which was decent. My wife ordered the Thai curry and felt the chicken was a little hard in texture. Overall decent food but not exceptional.

It is a nice place to try local food. Comfortable restaurant! Lasagna of aji de galina and ceviche: great. Prices up to 30soles the hot dishes.

I had lunch a Qanela while running some errands in Urubamba. The place is attractive and well appointed. I was the only customer and thought I could catch up on some e-mails. The only place to get connectivity was at the bar where the manager had taken over to do paperwork. I was unable to connect. The food is prepared... More

We had a reservation at another restaurant, but they had a problem and cancelled on us earlier in the day. The hotel recommended this restaurant. Perhaps they were unprepared for a group of 11, but service was amazingly slow (even after taking into account that Peruvian dining is more relaxed than in US). It was 45 minutes after we ordered... This charming restaurant is just a block off the main plaza in Urubamba, yet it seems tucked away from the hustle and bustle of city square. The ambience is old-world, but the menu reflects Peru's recent rise in world-class culinary skills. We enjoyed dinner next to the fieldstone fireplace but thought of returning for lunch in the back yard near... More
