Great family-owned bar/restaurant with a wonderfully broad ranging menu (all delicious). Cheerful, engaging and efficient staff & service (especially Daniela). Happened to be close to our hotel or we would never have gone there. So good, we went back for more. A real find!

The fish and desserts are the best, the service was really slow, took a while for each request, I guess when they are full they have no enough People attending, but the are kind with people. Nice place, I have been twice in a week and the food was really good !

Good food and friendly staff. Very relaxed even though it was a "stiff" restaurant. Not too bad on the wallet either

We ended up having dinner at Bar Tabare by chance, as the restaurant we had initially chosen turned out to be totally empty with zero atmosphere. By contrast, Bar Tabare was full of people both inside and outside. We were welcomed by the staff who went out of their way to arrange a table outside for us. Service remained friendly... More

Bar Tabare was too busy two years ago for us to dine so we were lucky to try it again. Wonderful food and ambiance! I had the amazing spinach and pumpkin ravioli which I am still thinking about. The evening was perfect--service, warm environment, great location--I wish we had a similar place back home.

We had a tasty dinner & fine wine in the small dining room that was originally a general store. They have music in the main dining area.

Bar Tabaré is a popular hangout for people from all walks. There you can find politicians, artists, musicians and ordinary people. I went there with some family members and everything was great, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere. I just have to say that portions were too little and prices a little high.

I went with my girlfriend for dinner. Service was amazing, the waitress was very polite and helpful. I had a steak which was a bit hard but tasted good and the temperature was right. My girlfriend had the salmon which was very good. Dessert was fine (chocolate cake and orange ice cream). A bit pricy for my taste. But we... More

Phenomenal drinks, great service and delicious food. If you are in the area do stop by. End of discussion - you will not be disappointed. We stopped in after another restaurant in the neighborhood was closed. We got a full tour of the historic building the neighborhood and then we're served amazing food and drinks. Definitely a place worth visiting.
