Great service, food that is prepared with great seasoning and care! The chef is the master in his finetuned kitchen behind the counter with hungry patrons able to watch their food preparation. There are only stools to sit on but the food makes up for the tight quarters. The deserts are extremely creative and the menu changes regularly.

A very busy place - we had to stop back by a few times before two seats became available at the counter - WELL WORTH THE WAIT! Besides, there is lots to see and do on Sarandi anyway. Sitting at the counter (the only option here) allows you to watch the team prepare the meals - and they are quite... More

Lovely little spot for a relatively quick lunch in downtown Montevideo! It's French-like cuisine is served up at a long counter where guests sit side by side on tall stool chairs. Quick, friendly service and super meals make this my favorite place for lunch in Montevideo. The menu offers maybe only a dozen options, but everything on it is great!

We ate after walking the old city on the early eve, sat outside and enjoyed the day's end. Had an excellent 'lomo' with salad, the drinks were very good too. Highly recommend!

One of the better lunch places in Montevideo for a good lunch! Small place - you can only sit at the bar and it is always full!

You have to sit at the bar and eat the menu. They always have something new and fresh to try. Its small so its not a place to go with a big group couse you cant sit anywhere

Estrecho is a small restaurant in the Old City, where you sit on the bar and watch your food being prepared in front of you. Whatever you choose from the menu, you certainly get something tasty served by friendly people. One of the best restaurants in Montevideo.
