Went in to have drinks, and stayed for lunch. Great service and fantastic food. I had a salad with beef it was really delicious. My husband had the barbecue ribs which was fantastic and a very large portion. We will definitely go back!

I'll start off by saying the view was great and the staff were very friendly, but disappointed in the pizza. My daughter and I ordered the Margarita Pizza as we both had a craving. When it came out it was one of those little frozen cheese pizzas that looked like a few slices of tomato and basil were added on... More

Kia Orana. Thank you for your review. We are pleased to read you enjoyed the views and service. Our pizzas are cheesy and our menu's do encourage guests to reduce cheese if desired. We will review our vegetarian pizzas and see what we can do to make them better. Kia Manuia. More

This is a great facility for people waiting for flights and we welcomed the chance to go here after being drenched by rain. We stored our suitcase for $5 which saved the bother of dragging it around and popped back later to get changed before eating. I thought I had read that there were showers and changing rooms available but... More

Kia Orana. Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your short transit facilities at the Islander Hotel. We do offer showers if rooms are available - however - we will soon offer showers for visitors on demand. We happily store suitcases in a secure caged room for $5 per piece per day. We hope you had a... More

Cheap, near airport, too much of a 'pub' than a bar, cheap drinks Reminds me of the pubs in Sydney where I am from, there is little islander style to this place other than the fact that everyone is sittings with drinks in hand and suitcases next to them. A lot of people killing time till their next flight. Place... More

Kia Orana, Thank you for your review. The Hula Bar on the beach enables visitors to enjoy cheap drinks with their hand bags before boarding a flight home. From 6pm onwards, visitors and locals get dressed up and come in for dinner, then migrate across to the Hula Bar for a mingle, dance and drink for the rest of the... More

Beautiful meals that are delicious and look like fancy crushing meals but big enough for a pretty man meal. Lovely setting around the pool and had some local ladies with beautiful voices sing acoustic local music, unbeatable package!!! If your worried about price they should be charging more but they ain't too awesome!!!! And right next door you got the... More

Seated around a swimming pool AND right next to the water, this is a special place to eat and the food is awesome. Service can be a bit slow, but hey - this is the islands after all

Decided to try the Islander as we were waiting for a flight to Aitutaki and had a few hours to spare at the airport. Breakfast was so so (they initially forgot the bacon on my Hollandaise Egg Breakfast) and had to wait 5 minutes for that to be rectified. Service was also not that attentive or friendly.

Great place to visit while waiting for a plane to arrive or before your departure. Most likely would not ever stay there as right by airport and not a great beach.
