Pre-booked and ordered for a group of over 40. The food was exceptional and the portions were massive. We struggled to finish the starters let alone the main. It was beautifully cooked and seasoned. The waiters were very friendly and a good laugh. There was a bit of music from a small band for around half an hour and at... More

National restaraunt that offers everything you need for good evening. Especially I suggest different sexers, that have plenty of food even for bigger companies. Also home wine is pretty good and need to be tasted.

This is a lovely restaurant where you feel in an old Bulgarian countryside house and they serve spectacular traditional Bulgarian food in big quantities at a cheap price. The service is good, even if they don't feel very enthusiastic if you want to pay separately. Everything was delicious.

We enjoyed a nice traditional Bulgarian dinner at the Cellars with a group of 30 people. The food was very good and displayed with style. The only minus was the rather slow service.

The place is touristic and dirty for my standard (dust on the pillow and over the decoration bottle). Food medium quality and right price.

The food and the service were both real nice. Prices are too high though and also it is a shame that there is one price on the menu and different one on the bill. Shame on you guys. Won't be coming back for sure!

Typical Bulgarian food but too much mainstream. The food takes too much time and it's not worth the price. Of course it's a good place to take the typical Bulgarian gastronomy. But still, it's possible to find better and calm places. To dinner in a typical Mehana it should be a calm and peaceful experience. Not in here. It is... More

Don't expect to lose weight if you're coming to eat at Hadjidraganov's Cellars. It's simply impossible. The food is sensational. Delicious dishes and HUGE portions. Make sure you don't order more than you can have. Very crowded, therefore prior booking is highly recommended. Great atmosphere too. Live music.

Legend of Hadjidraganov's Cellars!

"In 1866 a century ago Hadji Dragan, a trader of wool and silk lived in Sofia and four great houses built. Each with a style from different region of Bulgaria (Melnik, Koprivshtitza, Zheravna, Bansko). Now it's a famous restaurant "Hadjidraganov's Houses". In his famous cellars there was wine from vineyards all over the country. Only few were people entered into the Hadjidraganov's Cellars. While entering inside, silence, a smell of old barrels and a coolness met the special guests. Barrels ordered in long lines could be seen in twilight of kerosene lamps. Selected bottles lay in straw in wine racks."

Now the Restaurant Hadjidraganov's Cellars welcomes you with it's traditional bulgarian food cooked on fire, hot plate and in an oven. You can choose a wine from different regions all over Bulgaria.
