Everything was tasty, but overpriced. We were the only people there on a Friday evening! I would go there more often if it weren't so expensive.

This is a delight amidst the touristy bars and cafes along this busy street. My husband and I stopped in because the menu offered so many choices for us, vegetarians. We ordered four items and they were brought in a perfect order for us to share and savor. First, we had the Peasants plate, a delicious mix of cottage and... More

Also known as Hansel and Gretel (which is the translation of its Croatian name), this restaurant offers traditional Croatian food - regional (around Zagreb), but also from other parts of the country. Quality Croatian wines. Especially nice in summer when meals can be enjoyed while people-watching in one of Zagreb's busiest tourist streets. Excellent trout - caught only a couple... More

Stumbled onto this place by accident; interested to have Croatian food, lured by organic sign -- & it seemed less expensive than many others on this very busy street. We ordered an expensive wine [K325 which is about Cdn $65] that was HALF our bill! Soup & venison stew for my friend [she pronounced both very good]; green salad [OK]... More

Strongly recommend this place, we sat in the outside area (next to the street) and enjoyed the food and the people walking next to us...

The restaurant is located in the most busy street of Zagreb, with a lot of street musicians and bars... We stopped there by accident, and were not deceived! Specially to be recommanded for the "Pasta al tartuffo" : it was a delight!

This place is on busy Tkalčića and is an excellent spot to stop and watch the world go by. The Lonely Planet guide says they've made the building look like the gingerbread cottage in Hansel and Grettel, which is a bit of a stretch - they've put some coloured tiles on the roof and stuck a wooden lollipop and candy... Big disappointment. Came following lonely Planet recommendation. Everything was of really low quality. Ordered risotto which was by far the worst I've ever got. Other dishes were not much better. Better to avoid.

Wow! The freshest of ingredients, cooked from scratch - even the pasta is home made, local, organic, whole wheat. The owner offers attentive service, and there is lots of local fare. If you're the kind who looks for menus that have local food, and have the local language first (but also include English) as a way of avoiding touristy places, then... More

Traditional restaurant that offers simple and good meals and desserts. I particularly liked the desserts.
