Really good food, especially serbian traditional meals and premium serbian wines. Fantastic music! Parking available. We had a great time!!!
The restaurant is great! Very tasty cuisine. The service is excellent. highly recommend it to everyone!
Very good traditional food and excellent service. Everything we ordered was great. I recommend this place.
We went back to Kafanica on Sunday lunchtime last week (Orthodox Easter Sunday). We had another very traditional meal - lamb cooked with potatoes under a "sac", accompanied by a mixed salad and roast peppers . OK, the meat was a bit fatty for some...tastes but it was very tender and completely authentic. There were quite a few families, couples and small groups in the restaurant and there was a nice atmosphere. Service was good. By the way, the restuarant is closed on Sunday evenings.More
What a wonderful place to experience typical srbian food and atmosphere! Beautiful restaurant with very tasty food! We had cevabs and balcanic kebab and we loved it!
Kafanica is a splendid restaurant on the road leading out of the Belgrade suburb of Banovo Brdo through the Kosutnjak woods. The decor and furnishings recreate an inn from the nineteenth century and it appears that a lot of effort has been made to get...the details right and to keep it in good condition. The food is traditional Serbian and we had excellent meals (cold roast piglet and lamb cooked in a traditional way (under a "sac")). We understand that there is live music at the weekends but we visited mid-week and so did not experience that. Everyone takes pictures of the chickens that roam around the restaurant!More
Good wholesome dishes in true Serbian tradition. Not exactly vegan or anything like that but if you like Turkish dishes, you are going to like theses too. One interesting detail is that two or three small hens and a rooster roam freely in the restaurant...gathering bread crumbs on the floor of the restaurant. Rustic atmosphere, a vintage dresser for ornamental plates and old fashioned sideboards.More
