A must stop while visiting. Beat service and delicious menu. I'll be back again again and again. For breakfast or dinner

There are TWO "Mi Viejo Ranchitos" in Managua; the GEST of the two is located in "Pueblos Blanco" especially on Sunday, when they BBQ an entire hog and if arrive early enough, you get the best of the pork servings; generous portions, friendly staff, clean. There are other typical Nicaraguan dishes that will address every taste on foreign travelers.

Great food! And I really enjoy Karaoke nights on Saturday. A good environment for families to sing and share.

Nothing to see here....move along. Same exact food as every comedor/fritanga/typical restaurant. Its even in their name, comida tipico. Which isnt to say thats bad. I love typical food here. Its just that i dont understand why you would pay 10-15 dollars for it, when the same exact food is available everywhere else for the same price or cheaper. Its... More

I have eaten in Mi Viejo Ranchito many times over the years. I keep coming back because it is very consistent in food quality and service. There is lots of parking but it can be very full on weekends or holidays which can be fun people watching. There are some oversized menu selections for two or three persons to share.... More

Visited this restaurant Saturday night, returning from a visit to the Masaya volcano. We were seated immediately. The menu has a huge selection of typical Nicaraguan dishes. The meat section is their specialty. We ordered 1 brochette and 3 orders of Churrasco. A choice of 2 side dishes- we chose gallopinto , plátanos maduros (ripe plantains) and tostones ( fried... This is a chain restaurant with several locations that I have seen. We were at the Gallerias mall (Managua) location. We sampled a number of different dishes at the direction of our local Nicaraguan friends. Our local friends vouched for the 'authenticity' of how the various dishes were prepared. We greatly enjoyed everything that we were served and appreciated the... More

good traditional food. I know of 3 of these restaurants, not sure how many in total. Food is very good, service when I've eaten there is good and prices are reasonable. Good for families and children.

The best gallo pinto and local food in Managua. It is affordable and great for big family groups. They free wifi too.
