After a dinner at well rated Madrigal yesterday and Maito tonight, I came to the conclusion that so-called refined food is not a great idea in Panama. They just don't have the culture - and probably not either access to the right ingredients. Once again, dinner for 2 was 150$ - with no wine. Would pay in Paris or NY... More
The food here was less flavorful and not as nicely presented as with some other restaurants like La Post and Donde Jose or Madrigal. Flavors were somewhat bland and at odds with one another. Service was average. The atmosphere was good though the restaurant did not feel intimate...it was a bit oversized for the number of tables) and there is... More
I chose this restaurant because it was on the 50 best list for south america. We ate at this restaurant on a Friday night in February, prior to Carnival starting. Perhaps the chef was not in because the tasting menu was inconsistent for the 4 of us. The presentation was sloppy and none of the flavors were memorable. The picture you... More
The menu looks very interesting, but then the food itself is not. Fish done right, but bland, and the potion was rather small. The piece of fish sat by itself in the middle of a large plate. I had to order extra sauce, which was also bland. The food is not flavorful in general. Service is a bit slow as... More
I was very eager to go as this place was recently included in the "50 best" list for Latin America. Only restaurant in Panamá included, and Panamá has a great culinary offer, so expectations were high. One of my all time favorite Japanese place in Panama. Their quality is always above average. We were like 4 women, had the bento boxes, sushi n the lunch burgers. Bento boxes r very complete n works even if u r on a diet. Soup, salad n protein. PERFECT! Been there many times for dinner. Great service n great food... More
Very nice quiet and elegant restaurant. Very popular with locals. Relaxed atmosphere. Food is very good and the specials of the day are excellent. The roast pig was HUGE! The waiter should have warned us that portion size was good for two.
Excellent food, great taste , great wine paring. It has a tasting menu of aprox US$70.00. I really like it and is one of the best restaurants in Panama
