After a long absence, I recently had lunch with friends at Galway Bay, I can usually count on getting a nice fresh salad with fish or chicken. This time, I ordered the spinach salad with salmon and was greatly disappointed. The salmon pieces were severely overcooked and therefore dried out...and tasted fishy. The cucumber slices were translucent and inedible. Except... More

Galway Bay is always west of Dublin and this one is no exception. VERY west of Dublin it has the charm and distinctive atmosphere of a pub in Ireland. The food is as good and in at least one case better than I've had in Ireland. The MUST TRY is the Corned Beef Poppers!! OH MY! I could make a... More

This is an Irish restaurant and bar. Apparently the owners have several other similar restaurants in the area. Good Guinness and Smitty's on draft. Not pub food -- rather high quality choices. My friend did rave about the lamb stew

Enjoyed our drinks and met some very nice people. The staff was friendly and helped with beer choices. The pub was decorated well. My husband was looking to watch a football game and there was no tv so we didn't stay long. Would visit again.

On a recent visit we sat in the dining room for brunch and all received great meals. Two of us ordered Bloody Marys which we both found to be "weak" - tasteless. The service was fine but we were taken aback when a bottle of water was brought to the table without a glass.

The pub is located on away from the hustle of Main street, yet in the top end of shopping on Maryland Avenue. The building's brick interior and high ceilings reminded us of an old-timey warehouse. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays with a tall, glittering Christmas tree. I had fish and chips; spouse had crab cakes. Both scrumptious and... More

I had that day's special-house cured Irish bacon, root veggies with a cream sauce. Very tasty. My wife enjoyed the medieval stew. A very pleasant waiter with an Irish brogue complemented the feel of the meal.

My adult family and I went to Galway Bay last Friday after a strong recommendation from a local. We made reservations (recommend) at 8:00pm and the place was buzzing with activity. We had the Corned Beef and Cabbage, Fish and Chips (excellent) and Boxty with chicken. The place was packed, the food and service was great, and I would highly... More

Loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious but a little on the higher side of price. I would definitely go back. My only complaint would be, my daughter ordered a burger. It came with a tomato and no onion. She asked for a slice of onion. At the end they charged me 50 cents for the slice of onion.... More
