Great location in Eastport. Food is great but can get a little crowded. Be prepared to wait but have a great drink doing it.

Took a client there for a year end review and a casual lunch. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was delish, and the atmosphere casual and laid back. We were able to get a table in the lower dining area to the far side of the gift shop. It was roomy enough that we didn't feel like everyone... More
We were just not very impressed. Pros Nice atmosphere Great staff...our waiter was top notch Crabcake was good...but not as great as it sounded Nice variety on the menu....something for everyone. We were excited to go here. Wife picked it for her birthday. Wife felt the crab cake was good but not as great as the hype. Felt it lacked... More
We had a group of 8 from out of town, which is a challenge for any restaurant that doesn't take reservations, but Boatyard handled it well. We waited in the lively bar area, and ordered an app to share, which was gobbled up quickly. We ended up being seated at a table in the bar area, which was great. Many... More
Great specials and all the usual. Apps: Oysters, smoked fish, crab balls. Entrees: Cajun shrimp salad, salad wit h carbs, scallops special. All were excellent! As usual, the place is loud which is the only drawback.
We live in DC and went to Annapolis for the day in the summer and the town was packed. We drove around trying to find parking and a place to eat and accidentally went over the bridge and turned to find Boatyard Grill and it was packed out the door. So we (more) easily found a parking spot here and... More
Fresh, local seafood...and no joke...the best crab cakes I've ever had. (and I'm originally from MD - I've tried alot of crab cakes). Family friendly, too - kids loved it.
A regular destination when we visit Annapolis. It's a perfect place for a few drinks, a lunch or full dinner. Fun menu with something for everyone. Last trip started with a Dark and Stormy (kinda have to have rum here...), followed by a cup of their mixed crab soup - 1/2 maryland crab and 1/2 cream of crab which was... More
We were told we had a 30 minute wait at the Boatyard Bar & Grill. It ended up being only 15 minutes. Service was prompt and friendly. We all got seafood and were satisfied with our meals. Our son raved about the crab cakes (lots of crab - no filler), which were a nice size. Our daughter throughly enjoyed her... More
I have been going to the boatyard since it opened. It really has a great group of locals with a few tourists mixed in. They have a little carry-out area and a small parking lot in the back - or park across street in Carroll's Creek Lot (pay) - or if lucky to find street parking. They have an extensive... More

What is the dress code? We are wearing jean shorts and tank tops and headed that way. Hoping to stop in.
do they take reservations and have a sort of private dining room to celebrate a birthday with family?
Does the trolley stop near by the restaurant?
How far in advance do you take reservations for 10-12 people?
