We went there to join some friends that had lunch earlier. I had a beer and my wife had a Capuccino and it cost us about 50Q (7$US). The pizza my friends ordered seemed very good and they liked it. The decor is very nice with beautiful gardens. There are also a couple of little shop that have a lot... More

It's a bit of a wander out of town, but once your here you will be blown away. Small tables situated around a garden and patio area, super friendly staff and tasty food leads to an unforgettable experience. Couldn't recommend more.

We decided to visit the vivero one evening around 5:30pm. They have so many beautiful flowers and plants, but the vivero closed at 6pm, so we didn't have enough time to enjoy them. We weren't able to eat at the cafe, but the surroundings are very nice. It's much quieter than the rest of Antigua so it would be a... More

What a beautiful place to have a meal. Soft music, good service, reasonable price. The market behind the restaurant has a lovely selection of organic groceries and sundries. And is cheaper then the organic shop in town. Located on a large property with a gardening establishment as well. So take a walk around after your meal.

Came here for breakfast. It was ok. Would not come back. Service was terrible, unfortunately. Very slow. Waited and waited for leche for coffee. Coffee was cold before leche arrived.

This place is a hidden gem in Antigua Guatemala, you will be impressed as you walk of how beautiful their gardens are and how delicious their food is. I came here for breakfast and I left wanting more of this yummy place.

When I lived in Guatemala I bought my plants at the Vivero there. I always loved walking through the grounds and choosing what flower or plant I wanted. Even if you aren't buying, you are always welcome to browse their grounds. The last time I was there, my spouse was stung by a bee. Have a coffee or lunch and... More

An oasis of peace on the outskirts of Antigua. I had a wonderful pizza in a garden with beautiful music. Charming!

This is a lovely garden cafe (only open during the day) serving breakfasts, lunches (soups, salads and sandwiches) and a good selection of deserts. I enjoyed 'la escalonia' brunch (eggs, beans, a red pepper sauce, plantain and bread) which was very nice. The service was also good. The only slightly disappointing aspect for me was that the cafe purports to... More

Somewhat off the beaten path, about a six block walk from the central square, is Cafe Escalonia. The parking lot is full of cars for people there to buy plants from the plant nursery. The restaurant is tucked amongst the trees, flowers, and shrubs in a very inviting setting. The service was excellent, providing racks for coats and purses. The... More
