Fortuna offers a friendly atmosphere, accommodating service, large portions, and reasonable prices. A great choice if you're looking for good Italian food in the old town. Recommended.

After a long day in Mostar, we wanted good simple Italian food and Fortuna delivered perfectly. Friendly, fast service, excellent gnocchi, a great lasagne for my husband and a good selection of wines by the glass. All in an attractive setting in the old town.

I was in the heart of the old town of Split, and wanted a quiet place to sit and relax with a good seafood pizza and cold draft beer, and Fortuna delivered for me. The seafood pizza, with shrimp, mussels, anchovies, capers, olives and more, and a cold draft was perfect. My waitress Diana took good care of me.

Menu selection is great with pastas, pizza, fish and Croatian favorites. I had the mussels in Dalmatian stew and wife had the pasta carbonara. Both were very fresh and delicious. The grilled mushroom side and garlic bread is amazing as well. Waiter was great and found a great place for us to get out of the storm. Reasonable prices too...Beer,... More

The Restaurant is located in a side street. You can sit inside and outside. The staff has a different knowledge of English. We sat outside on the terrace. The menu is offering Pasta, Pizza, fresh fish and meat. The wine list is offering a small number of wine bottles. In general the prices of wines are expensive. We ordered a... More

While walking around the Diocletian Palace area, we were called in by a server who turned out to be our waitress, Diane. Really , we were looking for an informal restaurant for a pizza. My husband wanted an arugula salad which they didn't have on the menu, but Diane offered to make it. She also had our pizza "customized" or... More

Such a shame, booked a reservation on recommendation from a guide, turned out to be distinctly average. Expensive and poor quality overall, everything was an extra, including the 16hrk bread despite ordering the 130 hrk sharing starter. Despite the recommendation being based on good pizza, it turned out very average at best. Service was fine, although weren't allowed to order... More

Apparently the oldest pizza place in Split. It's cosy - perhaps too cozy on a hot day with the pizza oven close by. The pizzas are fresh and tasty and the service fast and friendly. No fuss.
