We had a deliciuous dinner here on an evening. I had trout, my husband lamb chops and we were both very satisfied by the taste. Also the portions were pretty big The atmosphere was also very nice, ee had a table near the fireplace.

The food was quite good! It was our first time trying this restaurant and we were not disappointed! We reserved our table a day earlier. The serving was on time, although almost all the tables were occupied. I chose to eat duck, and i can...tell it was a wise choice, i liked it very much! Also, my family enjoyed the fish and the chicken. If you want to eat delicious food in a warm and beautiful place, choose Hermania Restaurant!More
Sorry to say, after a very long time of not having a so-so experience in a restaurant, we were surprised today. As we entered the restaurant it looked nice and decent. Even without reservation, no problem they found a place for us… next to the...toilet door - not so good. We waited about an hour for the starter, which was ok, Actually we wanted to ordered something else, but wasn’t available. Then after another long waiting time for the main courses- they were served, not even hand warm. After us kindly asking to get it warmed up, they microwaved it up. The result, the meat was stringy and rubbery- the taste of the side orders were losing the flavour. What a so-so experience. After all, they didn’t charged us one meal, the others were paid. So at the end a little compensation for a going wrong dinner. Credit cards were welcome.More
Great restaurant for German food, very near the main square of Sibiu. It is pricy but it is worth going to. They also have a selection of local beer.
Amazing, farm-to-table restaurant with a very extensive menu. We had the trout mousse, the Romanian vegetables, the smoked eggplant, the chicken soup with homemade noodles, the duck breast, and German cheese cake with local ice cream. Amazing, not fattening, not greasy, just superb homemade flavors....Very friendly service, and we are going back tomorrow night!More
We had a great experience, the staff was friendly, quick serve, the food eas fresh, flavourful, and tasty. Greatly recommend!
Nice historical restaurant in city center with german cusine, the menu is a bit heavy and the closure is early (unfortunately)
Food was overcooked and tasteless, a total waste. From all the ordered dishes none was at least eatable. My day was bad due to a stomach pain after such a great food.
We came back 3 times! An unbelievable experience of the traditional Romanian food, drinks and the atmosphere. You can feel the German history of Sibiu here - also in the menu. Delicious typical meals - Ciorba de burta, Sarmale, Mamaliga or amazingly tasty Zacusca. Drinks...like Tuica or Afinata are really worth it too. Overall it's an amazing place - beautiful space both inside and outside with a lovely atmosphere and the design features of the German history. And the prices are very low for this serviceMore
The duck brest was overcooked, destroyed. Most of the waiters were bored, they sitting inside, the clients outside. Without tax receipt.
We enjoyed this traditional restaurant a lot. Inside and in the garden it has a cozy atmosphere, the waiters are friendly and attentive and the food was really good for a reasonable price. You’ll find a dish you like no matter where you’re from.
The restaurant is located in a historic baroque style building, which was the rehearsal and concert hall of the Sibiu Philharmonic. The restaurant menu is full of Saxon dishes, interpreted modernly, being the only restaurant in Sibiu that promotes products from its own production. This...is the current building on Philharmonic no. 2, dates from 1878. Built on a basement from the 15th century. 18 - with vaulted spaces - the location was used for music auditions. Until this building appeared, 20 "detached" members of the Sibiu Music Society - founded in 1838 - rehearsed weekly in the hall rented from it. At the end of 1879, the Musical Reunion had 41 members. They are thinking of becoming a society and on September 2, 1880 they founded the "Hermania" Men's Choir. Since 1887, the musical rehearsals have moved to the 2nd Philharmonic. Over time, the Women's Choir also appears, and the two musical societies will play together in various halls of Sibiu (eg the Emperor of the Roman Inn - the current Hotel). In 1934, the Sibiu Music Society and the "Hermania" Choir decided to merge under the name "Hermania" Music Society / Musikverein "Hermania". In 1939, HERMANY had 220 rehearsal members and 440 supporting members. The musical "Hermania" was active on Philharmonic 2 for 62 years, between 1887-1949. On January 1, 1949, the Sibiu State Philharmonic was founded - a professional institution for performances and concerts, which had its headquarters here until 2004 when it moved to the Thalia Hall.More
Unfortunately we had a bad experience. I made a reservation for a larger table 3 weeks before. Very nice people on the phone, great location, nice and cozy, but serving note -1. The lady who served us either did not know the Romanian language or...was very tired / inattentive. All orders had something wrong. The food they were so praised for wasn't brilliant. One person's lamb was dry, another was lamb. At the portion of 45 lei you receive frozen potatoes ... etc, etc. All the food came cold, in an hour and 40 minutes. They left us with our plates in front of us for another 40 minutes after we finished eating. I gave up dessert because too much time had already passed, but it was still put on the receipt (lucky me because I checked before we paid and they took it out). I am very sorry because a lot of people recommended this restaurant to us as very good, but the experience was very bad for us.More
