The rooms are nicely decorated with rich royal colours and preserves a lot of it's historical charm. Some rooms don't have air conditioning so make sure to specify when booking and check out their pool. It's very Grecian and charming. Their gym is rather lacking with a treadmill and a few free weights.

Where there for business. First unpleasant surprise was the very small number of parking places(and only if you found a free one because its a shared parking!).Old stylish furniture. The mattress was very uncomfortable. Cleanliness is lacking. A tube of shower gel in the bathroom stayed away two days as I found it! The meals were very good (we had... More

The breakfast at this hotel is immense. You can have cereals, breads, hot, cold foods, cheeses, sliced meats, fruit, and on and on. Good coffee as well.

Prince Charles , Strauss and Liszt knew a good thing when they saw it. While not the most modern it is steeped in and evocative of a splendid past. Great location and credible breakfast in a Magnificant dining hall make this an obvious choice.

so ..a good location, but dated over welming decor , big prices and poor food, the staff is so careless regarding the costumers, for Sibiu and for the place located i give it an average place to mark a spot on your map.In case you want good food try another place !

The hotel location is excellent, close to the main square and all the local attractions. We also found the staff to be very helpful and friendly.

Stayed here 5 days this past week in this lovely hotel which is full of old world charm. Was so happy to have discovered a hotel that is keeping the character of the wonderful old city of Sibiu. It is well located around the corner from the main square where there are many beautiful buildings and street cafes if you... More

The restaurant is located in a formal room, in the style of the hotel. When we came to dinner, it was rather empty, and the lack of activity was underscored by a waiting service that seemed to be mostly chatting in the back. The food was average, and I did not enjoy it because of some chemical smell in the... More

It's interesting that many thought the hotel was excellent and others, like me, thought it was dreadful. We were originally enchanted to learn the hotel was built in 1555 and that we'd be staying in the same hotel where Mozart, Liszt, Johann Strauss and other luminaries had once stayed. We were there in 2001, but it's evident from some of... More
