Located on the 5th level of Ocean Mall, Baan Thai has a lovely dining room with big capacity as well as outdoor seating overlooking the city sights... Food was delicious & served hot. Taped music of old English hits were a cherry on the cake.. A good place to take family or business clients... Good indoor decor & pleasant servings... More

We visited Ban Thai, after locating it in Ocean Mall, and after all the navigating and climbing endless escalators we arrived at the restaurant that did not look like a Thai restaurant. It seemed to be some kind of a cheaply decorated Chinese restaurant. The waiter did not know where the bathroom was located, did not bring the required cultlery,... More

If you've decided to go to baan Thai then its best you head to their branch on 26th street. The one in Dolmen mall, Clifton, reeks of a disgusting smell. If that's not bad enough, the waiters at this branch are unconcerned with what you require, and the food is quite average as compared,to their other branch. Avoid this place!... More

Baan Thai, loosely translated means "House of Thai", was one of the pioneers of authentic Thai cuisine in Karachi. The owner of the original Zamzama start-up was known to us and often confided about the pains he had taken to import chefs and genuine Thai spices for the cuisine - which was the secret of the restaurant's success. Unfortunately, it... More

This place offers the nearest to authentic thai food. But they probably, to match the taste of Pakistanis, don't cook it spicy enough.
