Le Banneton is easy to find on LPQ's main artery. Located in a pretty old colonial era building it offers a good variety of food: Lao to French and salads to full meals. The salads alone are fabulous. The lettuce and other veg are freshly picked. The "salade campagnarde" (peasant salad) is as good as any in Belgium or France,... More

The croissants and iced coffee were great. The outside seats are great to chill, to day-dream and watch people. It is definitely a significant cafe to have a taste of the Lao-French ambience.

Great French place for breakfast or tea. Loved their salads and croissants. Great place to chill out in the afternoon over a book.

We stopped in for a snack. The iced latte hit the spot and the ham and cheese croissant was delicious as was the pain au chocolat. I wish we'd had time to have lunch or dinner here.

Most of us want to eat the local food when we travel, but sooner or later most of us also succumb to wanting something a tad more familiar. Given the history of the French in SE Asia we felt that this French-style cafe in Luang Prabang would be a good option, and as it was my birthday I was in... More

We went to this cafe three times for coffee and snack (croissant and crepe) during our four day visit. Coffee was good, fresh juice was good. Our food was good and what we saw other people eating looked good too. Staff polite and friendly. Service excellent.

Delicious French pastries and food! I went here several times during my month in Luang Prabang volunteering, and always had a great experience. Baguettes are perfect, almost like being back in France!

Popular place,- difficult to get one of the few tables on the pavement outdoor. Food: delicious,- and all baked stuff excellent. Coffee very good. Dishes we had was quite large. Staff ok (average),- a bit busy. Prices were "nice".

Excellant french bakery which also has a branck in Vientiane. Has over 30 types of bread & pastaries. Open from 6.30AM to about 9PM. Very good coffee. I am a regular there for my morning coffee & pastry. I can upload a photo.
