We stayed at the associated hotel and had our breakfast here each morning. It was the tastiest of the whole of our 3 week tour of SEA.

This was our daily stop for an iced coffee. Great place to sit and relax and watch the daily life pass by the front of the café.

I stopped into Ancuent nearly every day during my stay in Luang Prabang for great espresso and free wi-fi. Great, central location and good people-watching from the tables out front. Very clean and modern. Their fruit shakes were really yummy too.

The cafe service is shocking, but they do have yummy small cakes for sale at nights and they make up for any other shortcomings

As i was craving for something non local, I chose this shop cause I was delighted by the selection of bread they were selling at the bakery just at their doorsteps! They have many handmade bread which is delicious but a lil tad expensive compared to the local food around the area. I ordered the pancake set with a mushroom... More

I ordered the breakfast set (eggs/bread/juice/tea) and asked of I could have a small fruit salad instead of the juice. No. Then I asked for some butter for my bread. 5000 kip extra. My teacup came half-filled and they didn't understand quite why I would want a full cup. When I finished my first cup, I asked for some more... More

Average standard of food, just a little bit more expensive than less exuberant looking places. The staff didn't seem very helpful or attentive either. The mixed fruit breakfast with granola and yoghurt was a pretty good way to start the day! Don't avoid the place but don't make it a 'must visit' destination.

Description
Apparently this cafe is in combinantion with a hotel and part of a small chain in Luang Prabang. We had great cakes in an absolutely clean environment and with immaculate service. It would be good if companion travelers learned from this cafe
