We booked a table expecting a band and belly dancer. We were delighted to enjoy quiet music instead as we wanted to hold conversations at the table. It was fairly quiet which suited us and the decor was typically Lebanese. The restaurant is closing down this week which is a shame. We enjoyed the mezes and mixed grill platters which... More

A tad quiet but we were quite early. The food however was excellent. We ordered the mixed cold starters (one each) which although beautiful, was probably too much! The chicken as a main course was absolutely delicious. Beautifully cooked and my mouth is watering now just thinking about it......... We lived in the Middle East for a while, and this... More

We stayed at The Jumeraih Beach Hotel for a week, tried all of the restaurants and this was our absolute favourite even for our 14 year old. The food was tasty and plentiful. Fantastic and would highly recommend.

They have a couple of set menus which are great. The ingredients are super fresh and the meat and fish was grilled perfectly. Amir and other staff were very friendly, we didnt have space for dessert! Second time , will come back

We really enjoyed our recent meal at Al Khayal. The service was polite, friendly and efficient and the decor and design of the restaurant was most attractive. Fortunately, the food was well up to these high standards, too - particularly the delicious lamb dish i had for my main course. All in all, a great setting in which younger members... More

Its a nice restaurant with authentic flavours of the Lebanon. We went for the meze option which was good thoguh not enormous portions I would say compared to say a Greek restaurant. Service is very good and friendly and there is live music and belly dancing periodically which is nice though with the restaurant not being very busy it was... More

We had dinner at Al Khayal few days back with family and friends and it was like amazing, friendliness, atmosphere, band and belly dancer. We already agreed that we will book again next Sunday in Al Khayal.

Booked this restaurant from neighbour hotel madinet al qasar, the restaurant was near enough empty, service was non attentive, belly dancer and band were adequate, probably difficult to entertain a couple of tables so no real atmosphere, the food is average nothing special and the lobster had to be send back, I didn't realise there was a Lebanese restaurant in... Staying in Jumeirah

Neighbourhood Profile
Jumeirah
Years ago, before the skyscrapers, before the 12-lane highway, there was only Jumeirah. In fact, when the UAE was formed, its rulers signed the agreement in Union House, at the very start of Jumeirah Beach Road. Often called “The Beverly Hills” of Dubai, a drive down Beach Road reveals one enormous, lavish villa after another. Originally residential-only neighbourhoods, they are now also home to an array of cafes, smart boutiques, and art galleries. Home to one of Dubai’s few public beaches, this recently renovated area includes a new boardwalk, running and walking track, with changing facilities and cafes along the way. Another landmark, Jumeirah Mosque, is the only mosque in Dubai that can be entered by non-Muslims. As part of the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, the mosque hosts regular tours and talks about Islam, as part of an “Open Doors, Open Minds” program. A wonderful way to understand more about the UAE and Islam.
