The hotel front desk recommended the Black Pearl. I tried it and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I was by myself, and went a bit early for dinner, 6:00. The restaurant was quite crowded with a big mix of people enjoying the evening. The menu has...More

Came here for dinner, and the atmosphere is very nice; classy, but not uptight. We started with the steak tips as an appetizer which were very good, and then I had the Diablo Chicken Sandwich for my main course. The sandwich was very good, and...More

If you are up for drinks, that place might be good for you, but if you want to have a dinner, you need to go somewhere else first

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your dinner at the Black Pearl. We would love for you to come back and give us another try. I might suggest the fish tacos - they're an award winning item!

If you're into small plates and lingering over plain or specialty drinks this is a nice place for you to go. A dark interior with low ambient sound makes conducive to sit around and chat. They have a good selection of alcohol and concoct specialty...More

My husband and I ate here for our anniversary, and it was wonderful. The swordfish was cooked perfectly, and everything was so delicious. We enjoyed the outside seating and watching the people go by. Very, very good, would definitely go again.

Description
Black Pearl, a rare gem. Our seafood and martini bar is the kind of locales sought after and then adopted for its casual charm and welcoming ambiance. From its inception as one of the few family owned and operated single location venues in the vibrant heart of downtown Ann Arbor, the idea behind Black Pearl Ann Arbor has been to reinvent the experience of "comfortable and cool" dining and lounging. Our bar and wait staff have been selected for what their parents have taught them to do . . . to welcome everyone with love.
