The food was good. The service was good. A great menu and a perfect place for a special occasion. A bit pricey for every day dining for a family. Charged 18% gratuity for groups of 8 or more. Ann Arbor is always busy so plan...More

Have to admit it has been awhile since I have been here, but always had a great meal. The location is fun being right downtown, yet a couple parking garages just a couple blocks away so not a difficult walk to get there. The atmostphere...More

We had the Filet mignon followed by Creme brûlée and those were the best we had so far on our trip to Michigan although the prices were a bit on the high side.

The waiter and the rest of the staff were great, offered food substitutions at no extra cost. Everyone was attentive and the food was delicious. Please try the tiramisu, it is some of the best I have ever tasted. Skip the expresso, not worth the...More

I love the bar and happy hour at Gratzi's. The ambiance is really special. Lovely for dinner too. The shrimp wrapped in prosciutto is perfect in my mind. Their Caesar salad is unique in that they roast the lettuce - not my favorite. The seafood...More

This restaurant was just ok! I did not like the paper tablecloth at all, that seemed cheap, it was over a cloth tablecloth. My food was room temperature! Server had to be asked to get more drinks, check, etc.... She was more interested in getting...More

I eat here a few times a year and it's usually good. This visit was disappointing because the salmon was really over cooked. It even had blackened burn marks on it. Everything else was good.

Has ownership or management changed since February 2015 when I dined in your establishment for the first time? Recent reviews are all over the board from food being mediocre and expensive with a charge for bread with dinner to everything being great! Do you seriously charge for bread with the meal? How accurate is the menu available to view online?

Description
Gratzi, an elegant Italian restaurant with distinct style, was founded in downtown Ann Arbor, Mich. in December 1987. Formerly the Orpheum Theater, which screened the most popular movies of the day in the 1930s, Gratzi maintains the flair of the dramatic history still preserved today in the restaurant's elegant décor and ambience. Seated above Gratzi's bar is a grand sculpture of Orpheus himself, the great poet and musician, overlooking dining room guests, while a beautifully painted Renaissance-style mural depicting an ancient bacchanal reinforces the indulgent and purely pleasurable atmosphere. Indulge in the purely pleasurable atmosphere and savor unique flavors of regional Italian cuisine and wine.
