A friend and I have been looking for a good sushi place and we stumbled upon this place online. The sushi list is most extensive and they have some unique rolls that incorporate fruits like mangos and apples. However, our waitress didn't know their wine/drink menu, the atmosphere was odd, and their was a tv behind us that was playing... More

The entree menu is a bit small, but the portion size and included extras (miso soup, cucumber salad, and white rice) make up for it. The chicken teriyaki was good and about the quality you'd get from any decent Japanese place. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food wasn't the best Japanese I ever had, but it was... Went with my wife and one daughter. We had a variety of different Sushi and it was great, I will definitely go back for Sushi. However, we also ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi and it was very bland. I've had much better hibachi at other restaurants so I would never order that again.

Had dinner here with some friends. The restaurant is in a shopping center and seems hidden but inside there is decent room to sit. We were sat immediately on a Wednesday night even though it was busy. I ordered the volcano sushi with yellowtail and it was great. Tempura fried to perfection and a very large portion for a roll.... I actually went there only because it was the best rated restaurant within walking distance from my hotel. but what should I say - the food was fresh and superbly made. I can only recommend this restaurant!

The service is quite slow and the menu is very limited in the types of sushi and other options. Taste is quite average for the price. Staff(lunch) is slow and uncourteous. There are far better quality authentic Japanese restaurants around. I think this place is highly overrated.

We got takeout while we stayed in Auburn Hills. It was really good. It was ready when they said and a reasonable price too. We would go back and recommend.

Went here on business and was not disappointed. The food is authentic (I would know) and the customer service is awesome. A bit pricey for some but worth it

I am a tough sushi critic coming from Boston and working for a Japanese company but I do know my fish. This is not a high end restaurant, very casual. Limited beer and sake menu. Service was OK, food was OK. Overall an OK place but nothing to come back for.

We've been here three times. The food is very good. I'm not a big fan of salmon because it usually tastes fishy, but Makimoto has the best salmon dish ever. It's been spot on each time I've had it. They have a good tempura mango sushi, which is not Japanese at all, but it's wonderful. Service is friendly. I agree... More
