We were on our way back from AZ to Minneapolis and it had been a long day of driving. My husband needed a break from being behind the wheel so we thought we'd catch a bite. I Googled "restaurants in Albert Lea" and up came Crescendo on the main street. Great, we thought, easy to locate. We were totally not... More

This is one of the more spendy options around town, but the food and environment is great. I had the lobster bisque as an appetizer with chicken as my main course, both were amazing. I wish I saved room for dessert. Great setting for celebratory dinners or gatherings. For those on a budget, it would also be great for a... More

We enjoyed our meal so much! Highly recommend. The steak /surf and turf was excellent, the sea bass was tasty and well prepared as was the dessert. Beautiful presentation, lovely atmosphere and we so enjoyed the piano music.

Yesterday I went to Crescendo with my family. From what I had to eat and what my family has said their food is great. Also someone in my family is more elderly and needed her food to be changed so she could eat it. Thankfully the waitress understood and made a special order. I really liked the Lava cake and... We went as family for dinner. First there was a long wait before anything arrived. My daughter ordered Thai rice. There was boiled rice and sauce with a few shrimps poured over it. It was clear there were just put together not cooked together. It was poorly cooked. Same with other dishes. Wine was ordinary. They added insult to injury... More

In Albert Lea passing through on a business trip and found this place through Trip Advisor. Not really expecting to be wowed but pleasantly surprised! Excellent food, service and atmosphere! Husband had the filet per previous recommendations and very impressed with the skill in which it was prepared! I had the salmon with a lovely rhubarb compote- excellent! Crab cakes... More

Albert Lea Minnesota is a town of about 18,000 people situated about halfway between Rochester MN (home of the Mayo Clinic) and Mason City Iowa, best known for the musical "The Music Man". My first surprise was to find white linens on the tables. The menu here is limited, but they seemed to cover all the basic food groups: poultry,... More

This is our special date night restaurant. Lovely elegant atmosphere, fantastic service, very good food. We've been three times and my favourite so far has been the lamb, though the duck was good too. The sweet potato ravioli is delicious, as is the creme brulee. I highly recommend Crescendo if you're looking for a romantic or special occasion dinner.

The food is very good and they have the prices to match. I had Filet Mignon for $34, (a previous reviewer said it was the best ever). It was made right and did come out worth the price. The atmosphere was nice, but an odd comment from our waitress about their sister bar/grill being open kept us wondering. We were... More

Elegance...a little spendy I'm not going to lie, but worth it for that special occasion. Super friendly family atmosphere for that special occasion. Desserts are to die for!
