Ateneo cafe is one of the best coffee shops in town. There is a good variety of frappuccinos and espressos. very recommended plus the people are really nice

I went today to the one on banzer av for coffee and banana bread. It took about 20 minutes to get it. I wouldn't go again when it's busy.

This Bookstore-Cafe is a great place to browse the latest books and have a delicious cup of your favorite coffee or tea. You can also order great tasting paninis.
The staff was very helpful and polite. They also have a nice children's area.

I have been there twice now. The first time the coffee I got was among the best I have tasted in Bolivia so far, second time the coffee was not even close to that standard again. It was still good, but not great. For the price they charge over BOB 20 for a large cup I expect exceptional coffee.
Another thing was the serving staff, first time there we ordered panini's and the prices were on the board behind them. What it failed to mention was that the prices were for half a panini and not a whole one. So when the person at the register asked if we wanted a whole one we assumed the prices on the board and decided for a whole one, which of course ended up costing double that amount. At no point were we pointed to this so that was a bit a let down, and the panini ended up being expensive like that. The taste was great on the other hand.

Situated between some of the best furniture shops in Santa Cruz, this Cafe / Library serves an excellent mix of hot and cold beverages as well as an excellent selection of books and magazines.

Just stopped for coffee and internet. Coffee was great, internet fast and you can also look for books to buy. The food seemed a little pricey, but can't tell if its worth the price. Good local alternative to Starbucks.
