Excellent food and on top of that you help local people as the restaurant belongs to a school and students cook and serve you. You do a good action and you have delicious local food! A bit difficult to find but with a tuktuk there...More

We spent a happy half hour helping students with their English before enjoying a delicious spread. Crispy wanton, banana flower salad, vegetable curry and beef lok lak finished off with fresh fruit. All beautifully cooked and very tasty. The real Cambodia, don’t miss it.

The New Hope training restaurant is well worth a tuk-tuk ride to taste excellent food and to support a worthy cause which trains the next generation of Cambodians to develop skills to earn a living for themselves and their families. There is also a school...More

Everything about New Hope was special, the food and their background story. The Banana Leaf Salad was a particular highlight, never had it before but will defiantly be looking out for it now! The service too was great, well done to our trainees!

Very good food, for a very good cause. Excellent warm hospitality and the food was well cooked and served quickly. We all enjoyed our food and portions were good size. I'd definitely return to ensure this project can keep supporting the local community!

Came to this restaurant as part of our trip with G Adventures. The food was very tasty and varied, from fried wontons to salad, crickets and curry. It's very out of the way and not easy to find, but a great place to eat supporting...More

Instead of seeing another temple or place of interest, we decided to visit a local school and support the NGO by patronizing the restaurant. Understandably that this is a training school restaurant and since we came in a group of 10 persons, we did not...More

New Hope Cambodia is a grass roots, rapidly growing Non-Government Organisation (NGO) run by a dedicated individual, a local Khmer called Sot Suo (Kemsour). The focus of New Hope is 'free education for all' as the founders recognise the vital role education plays in helping break the cycle of poverty. The school provides English, maths, computer technology and sewing lessons, free, to over 750 children and adults from Mondul 3, Siem Reap...one of the poorest slum areas in Cambodia. New Hope's clinic also treats up to one hundred residents each day for burns, wounds, salmonella poisoning, infections and illnesses such as malnutrition, HIV, hepatitis, typhoid, tuberculosis and dengue fever and, as part of their focus, New Hope also operates a traditional Khmer Training Restaurant under the expert guidance of ex-Foreign Correspondents’ Club Head Chef, Srey Mom.
