Beautiful dining patio, service excellent but pasta just not that good compared to other places. We loved sitting outside but it is not one of the best restaurants in Cartagena

Plaza de Armas has the looks of a well-organized restaurant: seemingly good decor, taste, and even good lighting inside. The reality was quit different, unfortunately. Service was rather terrible (and i'll disclose that i visited this restaurant on January 1st for dinner, which may have something to do with this experience) and slow. Our dinner took over two hours in... More

Restaurant is an 16 century gun powder warehouse. If night is not as war you can eat at fresco in the back patio. Food is good, not memorable. Service, as in most of Cartagena , is excellent and friendly.

This is one of Cartagena's well kept secret. The owner has given the place a nice feel and has made sure the food matches it. They are revamping the restaurant but that only adds to the experience.

I requested a response to my letter and complaint. As I expected I did not get a reply. This restaurant does not value their customers or reputation.

The most charming and special of them all. I can guarantee you'll enjoy this beautiful place, an old gunpowder factory. Good taste is everywhere, service is excellent as well as the food.

My husband and I are Expats living and working on a very large refinery project in Cartagena. We were given a gift certificate for Plaza de Armas. The restaurant would not accept it. We were told the current owner has owned the restaurant for 10 years however the certificate was signed by a partner that has (I assume recently) left... More

Nicely located right next to the wall and close to Santo Domingo and offers great ambiance, unfortunately, food is nothing special. For entry, we asked for a lobster croquettes and they were oily and flat-tasted. Eggplant fettucini and fish (Mero) were good but not mind-blowing.

Plaza des Armas has a lovely location in a historic inner courtyard in Old Cartagena. The menu is primarily Italian, but,as we discovered, not just "typical" Italian - we enjoyed our best meal in Cartagena - thanks to the recommendations of our delightful waiter (who grew up in California!). My lobster ravioli was delicious and was accompanied by a "perfect"... More
