Stopped in for lunch today. Sat at the counter: Fun! My wife and I enjoyed delicious pastrami sandwiches: nice and lean, and full of flavor. Had the option of getting it with Thousand Island dressing, my favorite. The cole slaw was great: very creamy and a touch sweet: I had to put it right on the sandwich. We shared some... More

Went here when other places were closed for the "big storm" and was impressed. Walked in and decided to snag a raisin cinnamon roll to take to our table. I kid you not, 6 inches across and 2 high filled with delightful taste. I'd go back just for one of those! The cold sub I ordered was a win, too.... More

Definitely one for your list if you like no frills, old school diners with good old fashioned diner food and service. We had the house specialty the pork, egg and cheese sandwich and home fries. Damn tasty on a cold day. Our daughter had the tuna salad sandwich on rye and it was fresh and delicious. Classic surroundings. We enjoyed... More

Went to eat with 13 other people not knowing what to expect. It's like a pop up diner/mom & pops type place. They knew they couldn't get us all to sit together because of the large party size so we all broke off into smaller groups which was no big deal. Food was so good. We went for breakfast. Quick... A small place that one could tell is frequented by the locals. We walked there for breakfast the morning after a wedding at the Berkeley Oceanfront hotel. While it isn't close, it was a beautiful, crisp fall morning and a great way to walk off the previous night's indulgences. The food was typical NJ diner food but we all enjoyed... More

Asked around for a recommendation for breakfast and was turned onto Frank's. Had to wait a few minutes for a table (Saturday morning) - well worth the wait. The breakfast was delicious and the homemade rye bread out of this world. Service was excellent. Extremely reasonable prices.

It looks like your standard deli until you realize they bake their rolls, bread, doughnuts, and pastries. The taylor ham egg and cheese (or pork roll if that's your thing) is a must have with a perfect amount of taylor ham on a light & crispy roll topped with american cheese and of course an egg. The baked goods are... More
