A sign at the Hi-D-Ho says something like "This isn't fast food. It's good food." That's true. You may have to wait a little while, but the burgers are worth it. We were staying one night in Alamogorda and chose to go to Hi-D-Ho rather than one of the chains that surround it, and we are glad we did. You... More

Not just in Alamo, but in the entire state. I have eaten them all. Order the Tiger Burger, but be prepared to share. It is huge.

This small business is a hidden gem amongst 30 other eating establishments along White Sands Boulevard. The burgers and burritos were generous with home cooked flair. However, be patient as thick burgers take a while to cook.

We had dogs. Two chili dogs to be precise and a plain. Thick, about one inch thick. Both were good. Fries were passable. Chose the place because it was busy.

Our group of 4 hadTiger Burgers with green chile after a long day in the desert. 5 stars by all! A truly enormous burger with great taste. Hand squeezed drinks, friendly service, and made to order burgers- all excellent. We did not try any of the Mexican food items, but the burgers are world class. A must stop in Alamo'.... More

Nice old fashioned kind of drive in. We sat at tables on a covered patio in front. Burgers with the chiles are best!

Classic drive-in. Food is cooked to order so is not 'immediately available, but it is good. The small Tiger Burger is big enough for most folks,,, the Super Tiger is 'hungry teen-ager' or 'working man' size. I always get green chile & cheese on mine.

An Alamogordo tradition. This great little Mom & Pop business is definitely worth a visit. Food is made fresh to order so allow yourself time to sit and chat with your dinner companions. Great local/New Mexico flavor!

We stopped in here one of the nights that we spent in Alamogordo. The food was fast, made to order and delicious. Burgers are hand smashed daily. The serving sizes are great for the money. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area. Their lemonade was amazing.

Appreciate the fresh food. Can't find that around anymore. The taste was ok. Nothing to write home about. I got the bacon burger on Texas toast with fries. Cherry limeade to drink was good tho!
