The area is divided into three parts: The first is the Utensil Museum, then the a la carte, the third is the fixed thali section which includes puppet show and Gujarati... More

The moment you walk in, it's ecstatic! The welcome, the waiting for the dinner summons while you spend time listening to some folk songs, the potter, even a puppet show or just relaxing on a rope swing sipping a spicy mocktail. Then comes the dinner and what a spread. Honestly, if you are not careful, you might end up eating... More

Vishala is must visit if one is visiting Ahmedabad. It has got such natural decor surrounded by green trees. There is puppet show for kids, traditional dance show with aplomb, swings and steps to climb, for hanging beds tied with trees. They serve you authentic traditional food with old charm of taste and quality retained still to the certain extent.... More

VISHALA, in addition to being a RESTAURANT, is also a typical PICNIC place on the outskirts of Ahmedabad City. This place is based on 'Village' theme and looks like a typical village on multi acre land. Once inside, as you move around, you have a 'Lock Museum' which is unique and displays hundreds of Locks of different sizes and shapes.... More

While most of us go to vishala for the yummy Gujarati thali, the puppet shows etc are also good entertainment for families. The whole feel is very rustic and village like

I was visiting and catching up with friends in Ahmedabad who suggested Vishala for dinner. I was blown away by the setting, atmosphere, food, service and entertainment. Luckily I decided to skip lunch that day to fit everything in! Highly recommend for anyone wanting to experience traditional Gujurati food - delicious!
