By far the best meal we have had in India. The chef is incredibly talented, which resulted in us ordering far more than we normally do. The crab, snapper, tomato salad, whitefish app, prawns, chocolate princess... nothing was short of fantastic. The ambiance is so charming and whimsical. We arrived around 7pm which was a great time, but plenty of diners started before and were arriving around 8pm also. Wonderful live musicians at the perfect volume (ie: you could still hold a dinner conversation without straining). We also loved our waiter, who was very helpful with recommendations and patient and considerate with our children. I wish we had eaten here the first night because we would have returned in a heartbeat, but it was a fabulous closeout meal to end our trip on. Prices were also reasonable. One comment, and this goes for anywhere you eat or sleep in Kochi - bring bug spray.

I visited the resto with other 14 western guests and we loved the sea food platter. We had a vegetarian guest who was served vegetarian meal, also equally delicious.
The setting was amazing in the garden with lights and live music but we need mosquito repellent.
The home made ice cream was great. The service was excellent too.
Overall a place to be recommended.

Dinner here was very pleasant in an outdoor courtyard by the hotel pool. A sitar ensemble played great music all evening. They also had a large fan blowing to keep the mosquitos at bay. The food was very good. After two weeks of Indian food we were looking for a break and we enjoyed delicious western cuisine including a wonderful seafood soup. The seafood pasta was also very good. Service was top notch.

We had been here before and enjoyed the food and ambience in the garden location. However this time we were a bit disappointed. Compared with other places in Fort Kochi, the food is overpriced (particularly after they have added various taxes to the menu prices). Also we ordered the pomfret fish (which can be very good) but this was a whole, tiny and very boney fish about the size of an angel fish from a fish tank and about twice the price of a whole red snapper elsewhere. However on the positive side, the garden setting is still very pleasant and they do know how to cook food well, plus you can order alcoholic drinks, which is not always the case in Kerala.

A little slice of heaven in Fort Kochi. We stopped here for lunch one day and boy were we glad we did. We felt as if we had stepped back in time. It had an old colonial feel to it and you were certainly made to feel very privileged to be there. Sat in the garden by the pool, away from the hustle & bustle it was fabulous. We had eaten breakfast already that morning, which was such a shame as we couldn’t avail ourselves of more of the delicious food available on the menu, so we ordered a starter and a dessert to share. Both were delicious, sat in the sunshine, in a beautiful garden, all washed down with a cold beer, heaven.

We were in Kochi for the Biennale, and wanted to wind down one evening at a good restaurant. The Old Harbour came recommended, and my husband was keen on outdoor dining so we were soon seated for a pleasant meal. It started off well enough but soon deteriorated into an unpleasant evening. Firstly, we were about to be served expired beer. We caught that in time. They told us there was no fresh beer available in that brand. We choose another, which they said was out of stock. Then we settled for the one they chose, only to see the one which was supposed to be out of stock being served to a foreign guest at a nearby table. When pointed out asked specifically about it, the beer was magically available for us! We decided to wind up and leave and asked for the bill. We were charged for two beers. That's when we lost it. There was no apology from either the waiters or the manager. As a saving grace we were billed, only for the meal, not the single beer. Not that we wanted it waived, but that it showed they were sorry about something! Apparently their best service is reserved for foreign guests. We had better luck next evening at a local shack...eat Kochi. Amazing fresh food and excellent service. Sometimes paying more does not necessarily mean a better experience.

Very good ambience and excellent service. The seafood salad was excellent, with good portion size. Ingredients are fresh and tasty. For the main course try the fillet of seasonal fish. The portion size is small. Very well done with grilled veggies on the side and a nice dressing mopped up with toasted garlic bread. For dessert, two scoops of homemade vanilla ice cream completed a very satisfying dinner. The only minus point was being attacked by mosquitos. The staff lit joysticks to drive them away, but guess they found us too sweet and tempting.

What a wonderful kitchen this is. A big menu with lots of choices Indian and a bit western too. A perfect blend! Very fresh ingredients creatively prepared and perfectly served. Always a good sign when a decent amount of non Hotel guests come and eat at the restaurant, including Indian people. To eat in the garden is magical is it lit so perfectly with candles and beautiful small lights hanging out of the old magestic trees.

Excellent food - tandoori fish tikka, creamy corn soup, and a spectacular cardamom pana cotta with basil syrup (photo). We were the only apparent tourists - bit of a language barrier (served us hot water instead of cold). And the barking unruly dogs were annoying. But the most ambitious food we’ve had yet on this trip.

Wonderful setting and equally great food. Nice surrounding for dinner, with live music situated across the pool. We were seated closer to the main hotel but as the restaurant began to clear out we were moved closer to the pool and live music. On the menu was a pana cotta with a basil sauce, odd I know but well worth taking a chance! Would suggest some extra mosquito spray on your legs before visiting as sitting in the garden for a few hours leaves you open to bites!

We have been wanting to try old harbour hotel for a long time now and finally we went for dinner last night. Food was yummy, priced ok.service was ok. beautiful ambience but we were very uncomfortable with a cat and two huge dogs walking in and out of the restaurant . I am sure there r many guests who r comfortable with this arrangement but we were visiting with two small kids (one toddler and one infant) it was very shocking and uncomfortable to have two huge dogs by your table side , even looking into your food so close! We wished they wrote it at the entrance that there r dogs inside (then we would have avoided entering the restaurant)
Would love to visit again for the food but definitely not with dog situation 🥴

This restaurant is a marvel. It allows you, when you are not a guest of this intimate, welcoming and elegant hotel, to enjoy its particularly interesting atmosphere. The dishes are delicious and the choice of non-spicy dishes is a real blessing for those who love curries... The wine list is rather extensive. Attentive and chic service. We'll come back.

Beautiful setting in the restaurant looking out onto the wonderful garden which is like an oasis in this busy area. Lots of birds and butterflies. We really enjoyed the onion pakora and the kerala fish curry (very spicy). Less so the prawn and mango salad and the kerala chicken curry which were both rather bland. Service was great.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst on a tour of Kerala and this hotel (out of the 7 in total we stayed in) was my favourite by far. Bedroom was gorgeously decorated, restaurant was amazing and the staff were all just wonderful. We celebrated our 25th Wedding anniversary whilst there and were treated to flowers and amazing cake
We just loved this place and would highly recommend
