Everyone's quest for food starts with checking the menu... Isn't?? Well in Indonesia I allways check if they serve Nasi Campur. This is white rise served with local tasty side dishes. Sort off a welcoming surprise...! So if this is on the menu for a nice (local) price, it has to be good in my point of view. Not all... More

To their disadvantage, this warung is a little off the Main Street but so worth visiting. The sign outside assured us that the food is 'slow food' I.e cooked fresh to order and 'made with love' and don't let this put you off. The wait was worth it. All of us were treated to huge plates of deliciously cooked food... More

Had dinner there on our last night in Ubud, pleasantly surprised, had Mie Goreng & it was so tasty. Couldn't believe how cheap the meals were. Apparently they also have rooms to rent cheaply, met someone who was staying there, he was extremely happy. We will certainly eat there again when in Ubud. Like to support the local owner/traders.

We ate traditional balinese food. All was perfect and good price. The staff was so polite. The place was clean and comfortable, so...try and enjoy the meal.

My boyfriend ate the tempeh curry last night and vegetarian spring rolls... thought the tempeh tasted off/fishy so didn't eat the pieces but ate the rest and has been sick for the past 12 hours!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND !!!!

If you want to eat local food and avoid overpriced restaurants, this is the place. Very good food and fresh juices. Came more than a couple of times with my husband. Not overcrowded as places on nearby streets. Not for people who expect to get the food they typically eat back home. Free wifi and the best price guaranteed.

Standard Balinese tourist menu in clean modern building with open frontage above street level. Some reviews say portions are small; only slightly and only on some dishes. However pricing is extremely reasonable on all items. Nothing outstanding about the location, but good enough to be a regular refueling point in Ubud.

The restaurant did not look very busy when we got to the top of the stairs for this place only one other table was occupied, not usually a good sign. The waitress was friendly and welcoming and we settled in and studied the menu. It is a simple menu that had a limited range. I had the sweet and sour... More

The best place where we had lunch and dinner in Ubud. Very cheaper, good typical plates and not only typical, very fast and kind staff, free wi-fi connection. I promise, if I had to came back in Ubud, I'm sure I could come back to Warung Kaku!

Thank Denis P
