Simple fried kwetiau or noodles located at small alley, place is cramped every morning. It's currently managed by 3rd generation and has been around since my dad was a kid (he's 60 now). They only have plain / fried with egg, portion is kinda small...and the price is kinda expensive but worth every pennyMore

Last night, my colleagues in Medan brought me to a Chinese traditional restaurant and the name is called "AhTeng". What they famous is "Fried Kway Teow". For me, the taste is suitable for ppl from Malaysia and Singapore just like our local traditional "Char Kway...Teow". But ours is black but their one is white. Not only the Kway Teow is good and sweet chilli source also taste good. Remember you must eat together with the chilli sauce. If so happen you are in Medan, must go to try the Ah Teng Fried Kway Teow and you will never regret. Just about 10 minutes drive from JW Marriott Hotel, Medan.More

This small restaurant is located at Jl Porsea and open open from morning to before noon. Their specialities are fried Kwetiau without meat - so we can order with or without eggs only. The fried Kwetiau taste very nice, not oily and definitely is the...best fried Kwetiau 'without meat' version. Price is considered cheap, but be aware that the portion is pretty small for most men. The traditional coffee is also very nice.More

I cant really sure how old is this place actually is. But its been around since my parents were still a kid. Supposed to be like 3rd generation fried noodles shop. Its one of the simplest and might say best place to eat. Place is...quite small and can be quite crowded, ran mostly by family members. Price a bit high compared to other similar places. But its a must visit for breakfast in medan. Local chinese styleMore

I think this one is the best Kwetiau goreng ( fried rice noodle) in Medan! Cooked on the charcoal in traditional way! Must try the double egg and the plain one. Perfect match with cold iced mocha! Love this place so much!

Simply stir fried flat noodles fried with or without egg, it is one of the most popular plain noodle breakfast joints in Medan.the place is very small, always crowded and full especially on Sunday mornings. Reasonably priced but meager portions.

This is how Medan's Chinese population like their flat rice noodle done. Not greasy, flavorful, & full of veggies & meat

Anyone with experience to eating Kway Teow, will know right away what they are getting themselves into. You can't go wrong with anything you order at all. Not usually mentioned, but try ordering "double egg fried kway teow, or egg noodle", and you won't be...disappointedMore
