We have previously depended on Sabroso as a local favorite but stopped going when we noticed a decline in the kitchen after a change in the chef. As in all things in Tao change happens and chef's come and go. I am happy to report that the kitchen is back up to where it used to be. After a recent... More

This is one of Taos' top 5 restaurants, in my opinion, and I lave here. It has good ambiance and good food and located outside the charming village of Arroyo Seco. This is definitely worth your consideration for a romantic dinner.

We've eaten at Sabroso many times, and it's one of our favorite restaurants in the Taos area. Tonight we had a romantic dinner next to the huge fireplace in the dining room. We both had steak frites, cooked to perfection, with a delicious spicy chili sauce. It's a fine dining experience without a big price tag, and the service is... More

Sabroso was very rustic on the exterior but we were certainly glad we made the leap and went inside to discover a lovely patio and a dining room complete with white linen draped tables and the walls decorated with local art. The bar area featured an excellent pianist which we could hear and enjoy from the dining room. The attentive... More

Recommended by Corrine at Adobe Stars Bed N Breakfast. Their parking is limited. We went on a Sunday night when local entertainment was playing. The food was outstanding. My wife had Fish Tacos and I had the liver and onions entree. Service was good because we sat inside as there was NO tables available on the patio where live entertainment... More

On our last night in Arroyo Seco, we dined here. It was a near perfect evening. We were the first guests in the outdoor area on a nice September evening. Waitress ChayAnne Sexton was convivial from the start. The setting is idyllic. The adobe building, 150 years or so old, was home to a religious group until the 1970s when... More

The bar at Sabroso is the prettiest and most romantic around. It is very warm and cozy with a big fire place beautiful interior and great live music. The drinks are good and you can order food off the menu. It makes for a nice, casual, romantic date night.

This charming place was recommended to us, by some locals, for our wedding anniversary dinner. It is about a 20-minute drive from the Taos Plaza. While it was recommended we eat outside, since it was a bit cool that evening, so we opted for a table indoors. The patio area, however, was decorated with white lights and looked very romantic.... The outdoor bar at Sabroso was just delightful. The bartender Travis made my Bloody Mary from scratch...delish! We ordered the Mediterranean tapas and it was delectable! There is a great atmosphere at this place so we had fun at this late afternoon stop. Will definitely go again!
