Good homely food on the way to upstate New York.. Thali was worth the buck and filling. Chai was average... Casual ambience.. Friendly owner..

I have eaten here several times and have enjoyed the flavorful and spicy (did I say spicy?) Dosas, Vadas, and Fried Green peppers. The food is spicy enough that you have a full flop sweat on the top of your head as you are eating... but you cannot stop. I highly recommend this place, which is greatly populated by folks... More

The place is decent in ambiance but the food is delicious. I ordered chole bhatire, Sambhar Dosa, Puri Korma, pav bhajji, mini thali proced at $5.99 has dal, dahi, sabzi and a choice of rice or 2 rotis. Try anything except the chat (bhel puri, sev puri etc) as it lacks the essential spicy flavor.

Food is just okay , but working staffs are really good in behavior. Range of Indian snacks are good but very costly. Some snacks like bread pakoda and samosa they should drain out oil carefully or else it taste like we are eating oil. Dosa is tasty. I would suggest them to prepare Rasgulla there so that they can offer... More

I bought food (samosas) for to go from Parivar restaurant last week at 6pm and reached home at 6.20pm and opened the packet to have it. Believe me! Food was stinking so badly as if they were prepared a week before or so. I went to the store again the next day to report the issue to the store manager... More

At the back of a supermarket, you'll find plastic tables, plastic plates, plastic cutlery and plastic cups but a kitchen producing excellent Indian vegetarian food. Great value for money and quick service, you'll come out happy, with a full stomach and with a spring in your step from watching the Bollywood movies while you eat.

First of all this is not a typical full scale restaurant. This is inside of grocery store serving vegetarian items. This probably is most economical food joint in the area. They offer variety of chat menus. I had their full meal which comes with samosa as well. I just felt like I am eating home cooked food, they serve Chapati... More

We were in albany and looking for a place to eat. We found Pativar on Trip Advisor and decided to check it out. If you like authentic Indian food, this place will knock your socks off. It is nothing fancy, located in the back of an Indian grocery store. We were at a loss as to what to order, as... More

I love Parivar! Great assortment in the grocery section and tasty chaat in the back. The Mysore Masala Dosa is spicy and delicious. I've never had a bad dish here. Love the Pav Bhaji and Sev Puri as well. The staff in both the grocery and cafe have always been very friendly. I've been here with my husband and solo.... More

Some items like Mango Lassi, chat were okay, but some items in the thali were not good. There are some snack items which were good like samosa for instance was eatable. It was a nice break for us while driving from NYC towards upstate New York. We wanted to eat some Indian place but most of the restaurants open only... More
