Casual, big, pretty loud with a nice area to sit in front of the fire. Good burgers, basic fare. Accommodates gluten free. Good for friends, fine for families with younger kids - it's loud enough they won't bother anyone. If you're not a beer drinker, there is cider and a limited but decent wine selection.

Have been in this restaurant/bar many times and have always enjoyed it.This last time the food was not very hot and the drinks were just fair. There were also less people in the dining room then I have witnessed before.I'm not sure if it was just an off nite,or maybe the rose is off the bloom,at this downtown Albany restaurant/drinking emporium.May... Great venue, old historic location that was a water pump station from the 1870s when Albany pumped water from the Hudson River for drinking water! Beer certainly would have been safer and the Evans family brew some great, great stuff. Food is quite good too. Perfect for groups after-work.

Yeah, we have... many, many times. Is there a company that produces generic pub fare menus for businesses to just slap their name on? Well, there should be... Really, it was so generic and commonplace, I can barely remember the meal. The whole "exposed pipe/converted former-whatever", yup, they have it going on. Trendy martinis? Check.... If you are nearby and... More

Restaurant is in a nicely renovated factory. My family assured us that this was the place to go for great burgers. None of us are beer drinkers. The service was average. Half way thru the meal, all of our table was out of water and there was no waitstaff to be found. I had the Apple/Bacon Burger. It arrived poorly... More

Received a gift card for Christmas so went with a friend for a beer and some appetizers. Absolutely horrible food and would never recommend or go back. Shameful they serve that quality of food, but could also explain why there was hardly anyone there. Beer was good.

We only stopped by for a quick drink at the bar, but really enjoyed the restored factory setting. This was previously a water pump for Albany's water supply and the restoration did a great job maintaining the industrial feel. The beer and appetizers were good and would consider stopping in for dinner with a reservation.

We sat in the room with the tall ceiling because it was more lively than the fireplace room. The flight of eight beers that we ordered was a great way to start the lunch! The menu offerings were varied and interesting. The pulled pork sandwich was great. Can't wait to return!

Our reservations were lost but the hostess was able to find the 5 of us a makeshift table. The servers were very attentive. We started with fried pickles and nachos which were enjoyed by all. We ordered both the appetizers and entrees at the same time and the timing was perfect. Everyone was very satisfied with the portion size and... More
